Hey any of you eva strain a lower back muscles or slipped a disc?. My back was a little sore this week and yesterday when I was using the squat machine I felt something pinch in my lower back. HOLY fuckin shit does it hurt. I can't do anything with my lower back. I am in constant fuckin pain and it hurts to even lift my legs. I went to the doc. today but it was in the outpatient. She told me it was probably muscles and gave me bunch of vic's:D and some muscle relaxants. JUst wonderin if it could be discs in my back. IF anyone has ever had such injury please tell me and let me know what the pain was like. Could you walk and shit. Help bro's I want to find out if it is discs or not.

hey. that shit hurts like hell it happened to me last week and i couldnt even sit up so i laid in bed for a week and took the muscle relaxents. it got considerably better and i started moving arounnd and picking up light things and now the pain is gone. just take it easy it will go away

Yep, had it too. Had to roll out of bed because I couldn't sit up.
Bent rows, squats, deadlifts, hack squats are the exersizes that USED to cause it. I found out that the cause was due to my lower back being overtrained, and not properly warmed up. I started to ease up on the lower back, and warm it up with hyperextentions... no more problems.

I had very bad lower back pain (outer parts) while on D-Bol, It turned out it was my kidneys and once I upped my water intake and started taking cranberry juice it was fine.

A few years ago I had a herniated disc and it was the worst pain I had ever endured in my life. It hurt to sit, stand, lie down or do anything. My doc suggeted to let it heal by itself and that surgery wasn't needed. It took a good 10 months before it was back to 100%.

All you can do is rest and take it easy. If you push it too soon before it completely heals you'll just make it worse.

Disc trauma is hell! Your muscles spasm so hard you think all your ribs are going to shatter. And psciatic nerve pain.... If its muscle, it will pass in a few. Heat and Ibu will help. Id still see a specialist to be sure.

If it continues to hurt don't ignore it. Back pain isnt' anything to fuck around with TRUST ME!!! So go get some xrays and see if things are okay!!!

I thought I slipped a disk a while back....so I got my dad (chirpractor) to take a look at it and I told him what happened. He said if I slipped a disk I would have felt it and I would have definately known it from the feeling. He also said that you can feel them slipp when they do so. if you can't lift your legs I'd imagine that it's muscular, but that's not proffesional advice. Good Luck!!!

disc

The best way to differentiate between a disc lesion and a joint or muscular problem is the location and type of pain. Disc pain can be relentless. It usually will radiate away from the area of involevment. In other words....if you problem is at L5/S1, your pain would most likely not be in your back, but in your glutes and leg...possibly to the foot. The pain may ache, burn, be a tingling or a numbness or a combination of all of these. In severe cases your leg muscles may atrophy.

In joint pain, it stays localized....no radiation, is exacerbated by movement, and is usually a dull ache.
Muscular pain is worst with movement and like joint pain does not radiate. It can cause radiation though if the muscle contracts onto a nerve (piriformis onto the sciatic nerve in the buttocks). This can simulate disc and throw your doc off a bit.

Hope you feel better!

Thanx fella's I feel little better now. I'm still praying that it's muscles though and still gonna follow up with a chiro. or PT.

I would definitely see an Orthopedic specialist. you dont want to take ANY chances with a back injury. I took a mean playing football on Thanksgiving 2 years ago and went to the ER the next day. Doctor told me I strained my lower back. A year later I saw my orthopod and he said that I suffered a compression fracture of a vertebrae and have a vertebrae fusing to my sacrum. BOY can I relate to the pain though. Just dont take any chances and see a professional. My back still hurts from time to time but I try to respect it and take care of it.

great post gomo..

and i wouldn't do as asdagrade says just yet, give it a few days to see if your doc was right or not... if doesn't improve, go higher up in the medical specialty chain.
