Wow am I the only one thinking about diet here? Are you eating enough calories to maintain your new weight after cycle?

i was wondering about that as well as training - but i'm guessing the dude knows his shit, given the progress and those numbers.
so you say that last few cycles you've gone with only HCG during PCT?
what about training - do you reduce the amount of volume (no of working sets, no of exercises), keeping weights relatively high during PCT or do you train the same way (as on cycle) and end up burning out?

DAMN, you beat me to it! I'm sure diet is the key here! Yes, you'll only gain 10lbs during a cycle if you're on a calorie-restricted diet or if you're just plain not eating enough!! I used to wonder how I could only gain 10lbs on an avg cycle and hear other guys claim 20lbs or more.... hell, I can gain 10lbs off-cycle now with the right diet (relatively clean too).

I was jumping to the bottom to reply "DIET!" as well

you keep saying "lean, lean lean" my guess is you are so worried about gaining some fat that you are restricting your calorie intake too much.

Therefore your body has no way of maintaining what you have gained.

Well, admit I should consume a little more calories, however, I have a difficult time mantaining fat as well. Off cycle I usually consume about 3800 calories a day. The last cycle I was lilkely only taking in about 4000 calories a day. I usually eat clean. Tenderloin steaks, chicken, tuna, rice and alot of pasta but enjoy the ocasional pizza or wopper. Training stays about the same on and off cycle.

I lift heavy in everything I do keeping reps in the 6-8 rep range and often pyrmaid to my one max rep once I completed a suficent amount of reps for that given excercise. For instance Chest may look like this:

Flat bench
1 set of 10 @ 135 (warm up)
1 set of 8 @ 225
1 set of 8 @ 275
1 set of 8 @ 295
1 set of 7-8 @ 315
1 set of 2 @ 365
1 set of 1 @ 385

Inclined bench
4 sets of 8 @ 245

3-4 sets of fly

On cycle its the same except the ending weight is a little heavier. I am never in the gym loger than 70 minutes. Off cycle is just 50 to 60 minutes. I work out 5 days a week.

As far as calories go, would you recomend a midnight protien shake. I always wake up around 4:00 am starving, my metabolism is very very fast. The first 2.5 months I started working out I kid you not I consumed about 6000+ calories a day never missing one day and hardly put on any fat at all but I put on 27 pounds in that fist 2.5 months.

Too many sets imo.

sounds like u answered your own question... you are taking in 2200 less calories but weigh more

as for sets... dude that is A TON of chest work, i would def cut that in half or more...

of course it really depends on you, everyone is different, but that seems like a lot of sets to me, also, its good to switch stuff up ya know..

maybe try something similar to the 5x5 program.. that would be a radical departure from what you are doing for sure

Ok, so maybe i should do the reverse pymarid program, Start with a heavier weight and work down but in the end do less, Say
Flat bench
1 set of 8 @ 335lbs
2 set of 6 @ 315lbs

Inclined bench something similar

of course have a good warm up.
As far as calories go, what is the most people consume on cycle regardless of your weight?

Have you ever looked at Lee hanyes work out training book? He does huge amounts of sets in that book. Thats the book I bought when I fist started traingin. I started on the beginer level then the intermediate and then the advanced level and still do far less than what he does in sets on the advanced level.
