It's hard to explain to people who do not have faith and believe there is no God.

In order to understand you have to believe. Everything I have has been given to me because of my faith in God. I have lived a good life and my blessings I attribute to God.

Without him, I am lost.

I'm not sure if I did enough to help people. I haven't gone out of my way to be a dick or anything, but I haven't made a concerted effort in helping people on a regular basis either.

There is a saying that goes something like this, "For non-believers, earth and it's riches are the closest thing to Heaven they will ever experience. For the believer, earth and it's riches is the closest thing to hell they will ever experience."

Riches, glory, and peace are stored up for the believer in heaven and we will recieve our reward upon arrival.

Just because someone is "blessed" doesn't necessarily mean "Blessed" if you know what I mean.

Can't explain her situation other than she inherited her money and she can do whatever she wants. Don't know if she is a believer but that is her business.

The only person I can answer for is myself and that is what is important to God.

I am currently taking a Bible study course in Eschatology. It's the study of the end of time both physical and cosmic as related through the Bible. It's real interesting.

IMO that sounds like man's attempt to assuage his own fears about death, since he cannot know about it until it happens and wants to believe in something since the idea of his own mortality frightens him.

Death is not frightening to a Christian. In fact, death is what we want in order to leave this place and take our place in Heaven. While death is sad to those we leave behind, our hearts rejoice knowing that one day we will join them.

It's really a black and white issue. There is no middle ground. If you have been told of Christ, you have one of two choices. You can either accept him into your life or reject him from your life. God gives you that choice.

Very true about beyond our comprehension.

My wife's mother had her second heart attack and was clinically dead on the emergency room table. She was not responsive at all. She related an out of body experience she had while on the table.

A little background info...she had a son that was 3 years old at the time of her second heart attack.

She said that as the medical experts worked on her, she floated above the table and watched them work on her. She said that a bright light came in the room and she couldn't take her eyes away from it. She said it was a shade of white that couldn't be described.

She followed the light and the light led to God and she talked to Him. She asked him if she could go back and raise her child until he knew right from wrong. God agreed and let her return. She said that reentering her body was very painful and violent.

She would tell people afterwards that she knew when she was going to die because she had talked to God and made a "deal" so to speak. When asked the question of when she would die, she said when her son became 12.

She died almost to the day of her son turning 12.

We can already explain death very clearly. This question, what happens to a person after death, asserts that there is a soul or a contained self apart from the body - which is an abstract invention of humans which cannot be verified by definition. When speaking in reason we can reject non-reason.

I agree with you in some ways. If you believe, then you believe and there is no reason to apologize.

To give you some perspective of a non-believer: It feels as if the intellectual atmosphere is poisoned by organized religion. I really enjoy having reasoned or at least open minded conversations regarding philosophy, and I am open to non-scientific, non-analytical (certainly), non-existantial ideas including spiritual ideas - but Christianity and Islam are like philosophical straight-jackets.

One of the commandments:

Exodus 20:4-5 - "You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God..."

God is saying that people making idols and worshiping them is forbidden and wants people to worship Him and only Him. It is a sin to worship or serve anything other than Him.

before buds you have to pass basic training which i seriously doubt will happen. at best you might make a good deck hand.

you will never make the "seals". you will be a failure. dont even bother. i envision you doing alot of crying in basic. they will probaly put soda cans in pillow cases and beat you with them. dont waste thier time or our tax payers dollars.

4/5 days per week. sometimes just 3.
i eat whatever.
i party somewhat.
i dont train muay thia.

conclusion: for what i do id be willing to bet i still look just as good if not better than you.

im in my gallery, but i have gained more lean muscle mass since then but wiegh about the same(200lb). arms are somewhere at 17. i bench somwhere around 365 to 375. dont know body fat, dont give a fuck. i dont squat do to chainsaw accident. and thats about it.

im in my gallery, but i have gained more lean muscle mass since then but wiegh about the same(200lb). arms are somewhere at 17. i bench somwhere around 365 to 375. dont know body fat, dont give a fuck. i dont squat do to chainsaw accident. and thats about it.
