Serious Question about the Kidneys and Creatinine levels. I'm FREAKING OUT.

Alright guys, I posted about 6 months ago on how I went in to get my shoulder looked at and ended up leaving the doctors office thinking that i had a severely enlarged left ventricle. I should have updated that thread, but some of you may remember me. The EKG that was done when I was 21 pointed to the fact that I may have an enlarged heart due to heavy lifting. I am 28 now, so when the doc took an EKG for the first time since I was 21, and came in the room with a horrid look of urgency on his face....I freaked out. So I went to get an Echocardiogram done, and waited for 3 freaking weeks with no call to tell me the results. Turns out I didn't get my blood tests done, and my doc was waiting on those. So I was waiting to have a heart attack for three weeks basically, untill I called the Echo center, and guess what? Everything was FINE. No enlargement of any kind. So I'll get the to point, I get the blood work done, and again my doc is freaking out because my GFR reading is 64. Normal for a 28 year old male is 100-116. My creatinine levels in my blood are 1.5. My doc says that I more than likely have kidney damage from high blood pressure over the years, and it's probably permanent. My dad has had hypertension for 30 years, but his kindneys work fine (WTF#1) Anyway, it all gets worse, and I'm gonna skip all that shit for ya'lls sake. Last week I get my blood work done, and my GFR is down to 59. Basically it seems that I'm headed to kidney failure, and have no fucking idea why. So I've done my own research, and GFR is measured by the amount of creatinine in my blood. OF COURSE mine is gonna be higher than a 28 year old that doesn't excercise. I train hard 5 days a week, and have been for the last ten years. I'm not sure what my BUN is, can't find it on the urinary results, but I know the protein was high in my urine. I'm not freaking out as bad, but I am still fucking worried. I KNOW that someone that trains hard and breaks down a lot of muscle is gonna have a higher creatinine level than an average joe. I'm just trying to get some real life feedback from you guys, if anyone has had this happen to them.

Btw, I haven't done 17AA's in over 5 years. Right now I'm on a low dose of 300 mg. of deca per week. I eat over 4000 calories per day. I'm 5'10, at 210 pounds, and around 8% body fat. I was 160 when I graduated high school, so lets just say that I have a lot of muscle on this frame that normally wouldn't be there. I'm trying to make out what these readings mean for someone in this game...not a normal 28 year old couch potato. I'm going to a kidney specialist in Aug, but any insight from you guys would be great.

Weight training and a bodybuilding diet puts a strain on the body and it look like yours got hit a little hard. of course, follow up with the docs but in the meantime I'd suggest training more ina "pump" style for a while. 10-15 reps with 30 sec rest in between sets.

Do not go to failure.

Do not take creatine.

Drink water, water, water.

You may want to try some DEFINITION to tone the kidneys and flush out the water. Cranberry juice and Hydragena are good kidny tonics too. Lighten up on the protein -- keep it "normal" for a while -- 100-150 grams a day. More fiber and fruit. Dropping a couple of pounds woundn't hurt either but don't try to just lose fat with strict dieting , cardio and stims. They'll all rasie BP. Relax.

Good luck bro. Let us know how it works out for you.

Yeah, go into a holding pattern on the weights. Watch you salt intake in addition to that. I would absolutely take it easy on the protein like Nelson said. Good luck bro!
