Serious Predicament Please Advise

Cut then Bulk Same Cycle

Hey everyone,

Do Hybrid Cut/Bulk Cycles Work?

I am at 15% bf right now I would ideally like to shed some fat to get around 12% before starting a bulk, however due to certain circumstances and time restrictions I can not do this. I have 13 weeks to get into killer shape. Is it possible that I go on gear for 4-6 weeks and diet hardcore and then jump right into a bulk for 8 more weeks?

I know this is poor planning on my part, tell me if this is possible or not.

When I start bulking will I pack the fat right back on that I lost in the cut?

why is this a serious predicament. Car accidents that send people to the emergency room are serious predicaments.
Now that we cleared that up, there isnt really a bulking cycle that allows you to cut up, the terms are contradictory by nature. you dont have time to bulk, then cut, or cut then bulk so you have to work with the time frame you have. I assume you want lose fat without the expense of muscle. So get your diet and training in order while running a mostly anabolic cycle that doesnt bloat you up.
 
I'm sorry it is not a serious predicament really, but will this work? Can I use aas to cut up and diet for the first half and then go straight into a bulking diet?
 
just do 1 or the other...if you diet for say 5 weeks and slow your metabolism then start bulking your just gonna pack the fat right back on while body is adjustin and your pumpin in the calorie
 
if anything, id go the other way around... bulk and then lean out at the end. if you bust your ass and eat right, u can prob gain muscle and drop bf at the same time. theres a big diff in 120 15%bf and 125 10%. even tho its only 5 pounds

sure you could, but the whole thing is just shortchanged. You probably need to decide what you want to do more, bulk or cut up. If it were me I would cut up and lose fat while maintaining the same weight and muscle mass. That means getting on an heavy anabolic, light androgenic cycle.

this whole question makes absolutely no sense

why would you "diet hardcore" for 6 weeks and then bulk? dont you think it would make a lot more sense to bulk and then "cut up" at the end to get to the bf% you are looking for.

how much do you weigh? what are your other stats?

alright so now that I have established that cutting and bulking in the same cycle is not a good idea, if I eat 1000 calories a day over my maintence requirement caloric intake, will I decrease my bf% while increase muscle mass? Basically Im asking what route I should take to gain muscle and lean up a bit, what kind of diet?

shit man, 1000 over maintenance is not a way to go about losing fat. This is pretty common knowledge and you might want to start researching before doing drugs. cant have your cake and eat it too.

yeah, this is the 120lb kid...he just made another thread cuase nobody was answering him about a cutting cycle. This makes no sense my man. There's no point to cut and then bulk - YOU NEED TO HAVE MUSCLE FIRST TO CUT - It's as simple as that. Start bulking naturally, save the gear, and then go ahead and continue to grow and cut later, much later.

you guys convinced me, im going to bulk natty for a few years before i get into compounds, thanks for preventing a huge mistake

i kno right, congrats for making me see the light, I know the basics of a clean bulk, but Im still having trouble figuring out how many calories in total to consume. Can someone please help me with the math?

Much respect for holding out on your cycle. You'll reap much greater benefits in the future when you have a solid base and know what you're doing.
 
do some research from the gound up about bulking and diet and such. youre young and got a lot of growing and progress to make naturally. maybe go plat here so you can use the search function.

Why would you want to cut up then bulk. You usually bulk and then cut up. I dont get it. And if your only 120lbs dont worry about cutting up at all. Eat all day long and check out Need2's cook book he has got some good recipies in there for hard gainers.

You dont need to "cut", you dont need to "eat clean", you dont need "AAS".
You need to continue training 4-5 days a week, gradually increasing your weights, eat food every 2 hours ensuring you have protein & carb in each meal. Pig out on Big Macs & KFC on the weekends. Then when you get to 180-190lbs you could connsider doing some gear to take you over 200 which would put you into the "Big" class for your height. This exercise may take you a couple of years or more.

Check the diet forum for a thread called 'help to sort out your diet', there are about 4 formulas there on how to calculate your calories required for the day.

Easy way your weight x 16-18 kcals/lb
