Serious Medical Question Bros

Alright ya'll, maybe you guys can help me. This may sound wierd and it does to me too. I met this girl at the spa my mom works at.
I have seen her in one of my college classes and talked to her before. Long story short I have been talking to her this week, really hot, really cool, goal oriented, seems very normal. But my mom just found out throught another girl at work that she has a disorder. She yanks out her eye brows and sometimes her eye lashes! You can notice (now that I think about it) that she kind of pencils in her eye brows. O.K., is she a total psycho? I have never heard of this disorder before. I dont know if stress triggers this or what but man this is making me think twice. But damn she has everything a guy could want, but this..................................
This is a serious question and I would appreciate it if anybody knows anything about this topic late

oh yeah, my mom swears that this is the same thing as the people who cut themselves on purpose, probably just paranoid?

ive heard of shit like this before, your right; its a very serious disorder, from my knowledge, it cant be cured, but can be controlled with discpline and mental strength. I saw on a talk show once, a girl has the obssesive need to always have her hair in her mouth, if she didnt she would panic and shit; its really serious, nuthing to joke about. Your situation is unique, i would just play low for a while, and be a buddy or something; you may end up finding out that it isnt a big deal afterall and you would like to be with her...or other wise...........

Thanks bro, I know, its real wierd. I also think that it can't be cured by some pill, I'll still be friendly with her, like you said but obviously cautious! I know that she openly tells people that she has this, man i wish i could remember what its called, but she doesnt hide it. i guess with girls, they know if something like fake eyebrows is normal or not, so she has been honest. Man who knows, anybody else????

It sounds like she has some sort of obsessive compulsive disorder. Do a search on the internet. There are treatments and since she is aware of the problem, even better.

No reason to not like her...

Yup trichollotomania or however you spell it. Type of OCD. Not quite the same as self-harm, which isn't always a type of OCD. More an addiction. (Before anyone jumps on me and says I don't understand, I have plenty of personal experience of addictions, including razor blades, so back off).
