Fellow Eliter's,

As we are upon the two year anniversary of September 11th, 2001......I pray that each one of us has it in our hearts to remember the tragic events of that day.

Take a moment out of your day, and think about how lucky we are to live in a country as great as this

And realize that it is our duty to protect this soil and the way of life as we know it.

Remember the fallen hero's of the NYPD and NYFD, as well as our armed forces

Remember those who are no longer with us, and cling tight to the people that are closest to you as you do not know if this moment could be your last.

May peace be with us all, both here and abroad.

Thanks For Reading,

Pitbullstl

If you have it or can rent it, watch "9/11" the documentary about the firefighters made by the French filmmakers.

I have owned it on DVD for over a year. Im going to show it to my kids one day.

Never forget.

Yeah... it's 9/11 here in about 30 minutes or so... it was a horrible thing that happened...

It's times like this that I actually remember why we are over there in Iraq... and trying to stop these bastards from doing these sort of monstrosities again.

My mother was a young child during WWII and she told me stories as I was growing up of her experiences. The one that always stuck with me was the day she said her grandmother would not let her go to school because her son, my mother's father was going to be allowed a day with his family.

That very morning while she was at home a stray bomb fell and dropped on the local school - killing everyone in the building.

She was the only child to survive

Whenever she told the story you couldn't help but to sob and wonder if there really is such a thing as fate.

During the broadcast of of the 9/11 attacks she would call me in the middle of the night crying and inbetween her sobs she spoke very faintly in German - reliving some past conversations with her grandmother. She didn't even realize she was on the phone with me at times and unexpectedly I would get silence and then a dail tone.

She hasn't been the same since and has no memory of any of the phone calls.

What a trip. You wouldn't be here today if she weren't the only child to survive. Maybe you were born for a purpose that you have yet to discover? Who knows.

It was an awful day. I'm not too far from NY and I have family in Manhatten so I was really worried. Also a good friend's father-in-law is general in the army and we thought he was at the Pentagon. Luckily he had to go on a business trip, but my friend and her husband didn't find that out for several hours after the Pentagon was hit.

I say we pray for all the dead and living in Iraq and Afghanistan also.... and we pray for the souls of those who used 9/11 as an excuse for a war for oil..

So yes.. god bless Iraq, Afghanistan... and god bless America.
