Worst day and lowest point in my life.
My wife and I seperated on Sept. 10, when I drove away from my home and kids.
I wake up the next morning (hungover) at our lakehouse and see the most insane images I have seen. What I felt was primal anger.
Just like I feel today, 2003.

We've since got back together and healed, hopefully our country has too some.

Glad to here you got back together with your ole lady. That one thing made me feel better about this thread. Because I feel so bad for the families that lost loved ones because of few losers that are dumb enough to listen to an ugly dumb ass like bin laden.

STUCK by FLEXED1 rembering the lost members of the NYPD AND NYFD AND MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE.

RIP

Holy Crap!! My first sticky!!!

Honsetly those weren't my intentions, but a good idea!

The UPS guy just came, and he had a bigass American Flag pendant on his shirt, and when I ran down to the bank, the tellers had done the same thing, it's ashame that it takes rememberance of a day like this for my fellow bretheren to take pride in this great land, but makes me proud either way.

why doesn't anyone "remember" or mention the people in the airplanes that went into the tower or into the field or into the pentagon or the people that worked in the pentagon that died?

not really. i wasn't talking about your post in particular, so don't think i'm flaming or being an ass. but think about it. everyone always makes mention of the NYPD OR NYFD or the city of NY or rudy giuliani (sp?) or those in NY that were affected. you rarely, if ever, hear anyone talk about the people that were actually flying in the planes or their families or their hometowns or the people in the pentagon or the city/state/whatever of DC. just an observation.

DECEM, as I have mentioned before i was personally effected as my brothers and cousins are members of the NYFD. I also said in my posting the " many innocent who lost there lives" that would be piolts, passengers, folks in the tower who where working etc. This is a tradegy for everyone but also effected everyone differently.

I will never forget the pain inside and the intesnse crying I did when I was driving and heard the tower had collasped. Unlike many I was selfish and broke down as I knew my brothers would be in that tower with other firemen. I knew that when a fire a collaspe happen firemen die and I knew that this was a mjor major event and many firemen would die.

It was 3 days before I ahd any communication my brothers where alive. Maybe selfish but that was all I could think about. When I realized they where fine I cried for waht they saw and the rest of what happened hit me hard again.

Like my mom dieing of cancer when I was 13 I will NEVER FORGET THIS DAY.

flexed.. i'm seriously not trying to stir shit up around here, nor am i trying to downplay the events that happened 2 years ago. i actually think it should be made some type of national holiday in which most people get the day off from work (esp. seeing as almost the entire nation, except for police and emergency workers (for the most part) stayed home or went home from work that day. that's neither here nor there.

i was simply making the observation that, while i don't doubt that you or pitbull intended for all those that were affected by the events that day to be remembered, most people, even you guys, tend to explicitly make note of the nypd and nyfd and new york, yet always only make implied mention to those in DC or PA or the pentagon or the planes. this goes for the media as well.

again. i'm not trying to step on toes or mess up a nice "remembrance" thread; i'm just making an observation that i feel needs to be made.

your right. and maybe from my side ahd my brothers and family not been involved I would see it this way but honestly until you mentioned Washington it did not cross my mind. I was to effected by NY and that is my honest reaction.
