Yes, you will not regret it. There are only a few films that can affect you on such a visceral level as this one does. Like the bank robbery scene in "Heat" the realism and excitement takes it to a whole new level.

rofl at you using that example...that is one of my favorite gun fight scenes out of any movie ever made.

I'll definately catch it, not sure If i can see it around here in the theatres.....do you know if it will come out on vid for netflix? they seem to have every movie ever made, including independent films.....

Well, for an indie it sure it opening in odd places. It opens on the 10th of September in Dallas, Tampa, Ft. Worth, and St. Petersburg. On the 24th it expands to Cleveland, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Denver, New York, Boston, and San Francisco.

Whether or not it expands beyond that is all dependant on how much money it makes in these first few theaters. Be sure that everybody you know refrains from downloading this bad boy if it becomes available. Cough up the 9 bucks, itll be worth it.

Didn't see a chicago in there..............

but oh well. It will be my mission to view this film on the bigscreen, if it comes anywhere near illinois :D

I actually used to watch this on DVD with full surround turned up before training sometimes to get really hyped up... an awesome scene. Thanks for the link, looking forward to the movie.

Alright, it's been confirmed....

we gotta have an EF "Heat" meetup....................

i'll provide the beers.............AND the beer bong :lmao:

this feels kinda like the blair witch project meets blackhawk down. the journalist and his crew disappear...they find his tapes months later in an al qaeda cave...the DoD holds on to the film for a year plus...etc.

so what's real and what's fake? did the journalist ever make it home?

Well, the story is fictional. The documentary filmmaker is an actor (who was actually in Band of Brothers). The bullets and RPGs being fired ARE real, though. As was the DoD holding onto their footage.

Its also the first film in history to film in an active war zone, which is obvious once you see the film.
