School shooting in Germany - many dead

There was a school shooting in Germany this morning - as many as 18 are presumed dead, and perhaps the shooter(s) are still in the school.

Germany already has strict laws governing the right to a gun, but experts say the country is awash with illegal weapons smuggled into the country from eastern Europe and the Balkans.

No, I'm being logical, and I'd rather it be the wild west than the fucking ghetto.

Why don't you do a little thinking? Why are schools easy targets for homocidal maniacs? They are defenseless. The students don't have guns because they are too young (this I agree with), the teachers don't have guns, the administration does not have guns, the security guards do not have guns. Not because they don't want to, but because it is completely forbidden to bring any kind of weapon (including plastic G.I. Joe guns) to a school.

How do you think Columbine would have transpired if someone was armed besides the psycho brats?

Psycho Brats: "We're going to kill you."
Innocent Students: *dead*

Anti-Gun Control Scenario:

Teacher, Security Guard, Assistant Principal, or anyone in the area with a gun: *dead psycho brats*

Actually I doubt the media or either of those industries is to blame. I blame the way there is no more authority. things went wrong when you became supposed to call primary school teachers by their first name and they didn`t wear suits anymore.
I say bring back the draft (but just after i would be drafted )
and RAISE them kids instead of just provide for them.

your "logic" is flawed. you're dealing in hypotheticals.

First, you're talking about teachers. Not police or paramilitary types. The chance of them killing innocents is very likely. And you're assuming that it's easy to shoot someone. You've obviously seen too many movies. Some people don't have that in them, so the likelyhood of having a gun taken away from them and used agains them is much greater. This does happen in the real world.

Second, teachers are mostly women. Not to be sexist, but women wouldn't fare quite as well in a Columbine situation as well as a man would. Besides, you're assuming that teachers want to carry guns, I'm sure we'd have less teachers if they were required to carry guns, especially for the pay they get.


Lastly, how many school shooting have there been in the last 10 years? Not many. And not enough to warrant teachers and principals to be weilding guns.
