scariest movies youve ever seen

horror movies are probably my favorite because they take u out of reality and actually give you some kind of feeling u wouldnt get other wise. either way i love them and decided to rate the top 10 scariest ive ever seen. everyone else welcome to list as well. here goes:

1. The Exorcist
2. The Ring
3. Requiem for a Dream (not horror but jesus christ its scary)
4. Last House on the Left
5. Salem's Lot (the original)
6. The Shining
7. Pet Semetary
8. 28 Days Later
9. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
10. Evil Dead

im waiting for the movie "Silent Hill" to come out next. Ive never really been into video games except for probably Madden but have watched people play that game and shit it creeped me out real bad. and the new teaser for it really looks freaky.

ive not seen dont look now but have seen audition. it was really graphic and had some really freaky moments but didnt do it for me psychologically. the ring, i know, many will think that was a stupi choice, but it really freaked me out, just everything about it, from the lighting to the sounds and the fact that it wasnt overly gory and sick but left me unsettling afterwards. i would have added suspiria to that list probably as well.

they're remaking Suspiria. along with many many other older films. Black christmas was the first great slasher flick. The Hills have Eyes is also another great movie horror wise. i've seen prolly close to a thousand or so flicks, i know i'm missing many awesome ones. i'll have to look them up.

Glad I'm not the only one that knows this movie. All of Miike's movies are nuts. I love his work.

Shame they're remaking Suspiria, though. Most of Argento's flicks should be left untouched.

I also found the Ring to be creepy, and think it was a really well done movie because it was mostly all psychological rather than... BOO! 28 days later was awesome too, it was a nice mix of psychological and just a cool story and effects... Evil Dead was an amazing movie, but definitly NOT a horror movie... Sam Raimi's stuff is a genre of its own, but I wouldn't call it horror

I read an interview with that Miike guy... gonna try and find some of his flicks

what freaked me out in evil dead was when they were playing cards and the chick was lookin out the window and naming the cards they were dealing and they were really weirded out, and then she turned around all posessed. i remember seeing that as a little kid and thats why that movie is on the list of mine.
