scariest anaimal u have come upon during outdoors?

I had to out row a Grizzly during a fishing trip up North one year. He was pre-occupied with the task of pushing trees over, but I wasn't about to stand around and wait for him to get bored.

I live in SC, so snakes are no big deal. Went on a barren ground "boo" hunt in Nova Scotia a few years ago and came face to face with a bull moose. (10yds)

#1 They are huge
#2 They are ugly
#3 They are not fond of people

Other than that, i've been tree'd 4x by feral hogs and chased by a gator once. The moose was definately the most unnerving encounter.

those dudes who hunt bear with bows are just plain nuts....

my buddies grandpa has a boar on his wall he killed with a knife, crazy bastard

deer huntin one day, i came across some wild boar, i pumped four 12 guage slugs into a big male, i think it just pissed him off, that basterd charged me, i got between a tree and him while i was trying to reload, he finely got to wobbling and fell down, i put another round in his head from point blank range just to make sure he was dead. but u talkin about one scared somebitch i was that day. note to self dont piss off a wild boar.

at my cottage I was walking around drunk enjoying the fire etc,and I went to the bushes to piss and something was moving in the bush,I thought it was one of my buddies fucking with me so I tossed a rock in the bush and heard a loud moaning noise and the fucking bear stood up from where he was, about 20feet away looked at me and ran away

Ive also saw a moose about 100yards away in a clearing by a pond while I was crusing through the bush, thank god he didnt see me

Black bears are common around here :) - I have a family living in my yard. They are mostly harmless.... if you leave em alone. I've seen rattle snakes, copper heads etc - but the scariest animal I ever saw was this toothless, drunk out hunting a few deer seasons ago.... ! I swear he could barely stand and he was swinging his black powder rifle around like a maniac. THAT was some scarey shit!

Ever heard of ticklin for catfish? This is a stupid old southern redneck tradition that I don't recommend trying. Anyway the point is to go to a swamp or river and use one of your fingers in the surface of the water like a worm and try to lure a catfish to the surface then grab it with your bear hands. Or wade into the water and start feeling around the bottom under logs rocks, etc somewhere where catfish may be. Problem is in the swamps of LA there are also lots of snapping turtles and or gators or crocs. One time out and seeing a gator or croc up close and personal is enough.

I've heard that a wild hog can wreck your day. I'd like to put an arrow in one.

LOL. A wild hog trapped my grandfather up in a tree for a few hours after he pissed it off while hunting. It literally called up the other hogs from all around.
I used to LOVE to hear him tell that story......

For me.

Black Bear
Mountain Lion
Lots and lots of rattlers

I was bow hunting and a timber wolf walked under my stand, couldn't believe how big he was and how long its legs were.
