scar tissue question????

CPA

New member
i've been doing 1-2 shots daily. i've noticed while i'm shoving the pin in my leg, it's almost like the pin is penatrating through several tough layers. my guess is this is internal scar tissue.

i know i should take it easy on my legs. i alternate legs eod and will start mixing the gear in one needle. may be that'll help.

my question is, are there long term harmful consequences from this scar tissue build-up?

thanks

what size pin are you using?

alot of gear will fit through a 25g, you just gotta use a 18g drawing needle and take PLENTY of time to shoot (for me about a min a cc).

also see how much you can vary where you shoot on the quad. While I always go in from the side (the teardrop part of the quad) I can vary how far down I do it, giving a range of about 8-9" to choose from. This works well with the 1" pins. With longer pins you might be going too deep when shooting at the lower extreme.

Yeah, your probably hitting scar tissue. Hell its hard for me not to find any. Once in a while I'll get a nice smooth
stick and feel the mild sting of test, but its rare. Heck, I'm
using suspension now and only feeling mild soreness if any sometimes. No problems. Lol, seem sometimes like the pin want to push itself back out.

yeah, i end up using 25g pins after i've had enough of the digging. hell, today i went in halfway through took out the 23g pin and blood squirted out about 5 inches high. if i hadn't read about others on this board doing the same thing, i probably would've had a heartattack.

one thing i've noticed is that when I push a drop out of the pin before injecting (to get rid of all the extra air) and the drop of gear falls down and coats the pin, the pin goes in alot slower, and is more likely to get caught up on stuff. Now I always flick the pin to get rid of the drop, and the pin goes in alot smoother.

Interesting, I've never heard of that before. I'll have to give it a try next time.

i got the same thing bro,,,it used to go in like a knife through butter at first(my quads),,then i have to push it in harder, pain in the ass,,,i recently started delts so im butter again;)

It may not be scar tissue. There's a possibility that the needle may slightly be dull. You would be surprised at how fast this happens if you stick the needle into the viel a few times before injecting. I notice this happens after just one insertion into a viel of Jurox winny. For some reason Jurox seems to make their rubber stoppers a little thicker than the other brands I use. Once the needle is slightly dull, it will make it tougher for the needle to pass through the next layer of tissue.

Of course if you are using amps then you don't have to worry about a dull needle.

Peace,
