Say it ain't so Barry! Banks have already made more under you Than all of Bush???

Re: Say it ain't so Barry! Banks have already made more under you Than all of Bush??

trickle down

Re: Say it ain't so Barry! Banks have already made more under you Than all of Bush??

How is that possible with all the crippling plunkey non-approved regulation?

Because regulations don't impact large companies with global reach. It's the little guys who are getting killed.

but it's the big boys that trickle down all over us right?

The big boys have completely globalized and largely bypassed the system. Now the medium-sized companies are doing it.

so negative ghostrider on the trickle down.

it's just not possible... he's still saying hope and change.. it's not his fault, it's the tea party...

it's never his fault.. he's the Teflon President

so negative ghostrider on the trickle down.

They can only trickle-down useless things like salaries, benefits, jobs and competition for consumers.

But I think the days of taxing them any amount above a nominal global rate has passed. Taxation is now a global issue.

so you're saying there's a negative correlation between tax rates and job creation? one goes down the other goes up?

I have no idea how you would have ready the quoted text and come to that inference.

And calling it a "correlation" is deceptive, since so many factors are involved. There is, however, no doubt whatsoever that tax dollars detract from cash that would otherwise be used on investments, employees and other job-creating functions.

I'll give you a great example of how you could raise taxes and not kill jobs: Create another Internet revolution. If we created a solid 3-5 trillion in real wealth and another 5 trillion in the form of an internet bubble, we could probably stand a 5% tax increase.

Re: Say it ain't so Barry! Banks have already made more under you Than all of Bush??

the more we tax people the less jobs they want to create, right?

If you have a dollar that can go to the government or that can go to a new piece of equipment, wouldn't you agree that diverted dollar damaged a job?

Re: Say it ain't so Barry! Banks have already made more under you Than all of Bush??

<<< waiting for my bailout

You got your bailout -- Solyndra!

You like green energy, so they invested that money on your behalf.

well not really, they invested that money on some donor's behalf. Two different things. Actual green energy investment that is validated by a large panel of independant auditors is a good thing. Unfortunately we don't have a system of govt where you can keep these nepotic giveaways to a minimum. Only reason it was caught at all was because it failed so flagrantly. We're about to spend 10's of millions on developing a flying humvee...which realistically when the project is all said and done will have cost 100's of millions. On a technology that will not likely ever see combat deployment. If apache's can be severely damaged by small arms fire than flying humvees are going to be dropping out of the sky.

I truly wish this were just an internet hoax, but it doesn't appear to be. In the end we'll spend way more on this then solyndra, and it won't make shit for headlines when it fails cause this lockheed martin.
