I could go into the whole sci. of it but I don't have the time...basically its like SP and deca...if your worried about the hair just use nizoral shampoo everyday works fine, no hair loss.

I'm not worried about my hair; I'm interested in protecting my prostate. I didn't realize that saw palmetto helped with hair loss; that is what your saying right?

I believe saw palmetto protects against high DHT levels.

I have been taking 1000mg of saw palmetto concentrate a day, should i stop?

Saw P for prostate not hair

I spoke with a really cool endocrinologist about a month ago. He's a lifter so we were bullshitting about everything. For some reason we talked alot about hair protection (I'm vain, want to keep the hair I've got left). He said that saw palm. was excellent at combatting DHT at the prostate, but said it did nothing for DHT at the hair follicle. Basically said the prostate and scalp had 2 different receptors that bind to DHT, and saw p. works with the one in the prostate, he thought better than finasteride. But for the hair he said it was worthless. His combo was minoxidil, nizoral, and spiro for prevention and possible regrowth after 6 months of continued use.

i use the 1% otc from wal-mart. don't know how much better the scrip 2% is.

You can buy 2% Nizoral on the net. I found several sites from search engines. I got mine from Canada with no paper needed.

I am curious about this no real responses on why not to use Saw Plametto when on Fina. Will taking Saw Palmetto after your cycle is over repair any damamge caused to the prostate?

There is NO reason not to take SP during your cycle, any cycle. SP acts to block the 5a reduction of testosterone to DHT in the Prostate ONLY, it is not active in scalp or other tissues. SP=GOOD
