you lose only water weight in a sauna, but that only lasts until you drink again right? what happens if you sit in one for like 3 hours 3 days in a row?

is it possible to torch muscle staying in a sauna too long?

i need to lose a quick 4 or 5 to hit up this boxing match this weekend.....thats gonna mean about 4 fkn hours in a steamer right?

also, that won't help you look any tighter around the mid-section will it?

i'm not quite sure anyone will know any of this, but the internet says the same shit over and fucking over ..... fkn bs

THX!

until i pass out? :)

If you are boxing, you should know all about cutting weight already. 4 or 5 pounds is nothing to cut.

Ask your trainer, man!

lol, ha ha, no. but it is a common practice amoung boxers/kickboxers to make weight via the plastic suit and a treadmill or bike. I have seen it in action in my own house, (husband does it to make weight).

btw, I'm not saying it's good for you, because it's not.

Ack!
Sitting in the sauna and not drinking water will make you RETAIN water.

You have to keep yourself hydrated, so that your body doesn't feel the need to store water.

Limit your sodium intake, and take a mild diuretic.
(Don't go crazy with the sauna, plastic suits and sweating. You could seriously damage your internal organs.)

Sit in the sauna (without taking a diuretic first) and drink water. Drink water until your sweat is no longer salty. BE CAREFUL though. Drinking too much water can kill you.

Also, your muscles are about 70% water. Seriously dehydrating yourself will make you lose strength, and you will look flat.
