use equation editor in word. Copy the object to the clipboard and then into a graphics editor, save as a jpeg, post up to imageshack.

Well, look at it this way, if you show your work you get more credit if you make a matrhematical error. I was always screwing up signs in college. As long as your processes are fine, the instructor can follow along. It works in the real world too, if you don't finish a calculation someone can follow along your work, or you can backtrack to find systemic errors.
