Sales interview today and no suit...any dress tips?

Wasn't expecting the interview to happen this fast and I can't afford right now to go out and drop even $200 on a suit today. Just got the call last night for an interview today with a good company for a sales position.

So I have something I can throw together, nice pants, nice shirt and a tie that kind of matches but no jacket that fits. All of my suits are too big right now because I dropped some weight at the beginning of the summer. Can I get away with not wearing a full suit? Or could I go with a nice business casual outfit and all would be okay? I know dress codes in the corporate world are very relaxed right now but I also know I need to at least wear a tie.

dress shirt, nice pants and a good tie will be ok without the suit jacket. not optimal but sometimes you gotta do what you can do.

Have you thought about the Salvation Army Thrift store? I have dropped off some VERY nice threads there before and know other's who have too. It's worth a try, you may find something that is perfect for next to nothing. Just an idea if you are feeling u need a dress jacket.

If not, make sure your clothes are pressed very well and the shoes are shined up.
