Safe age to take AAS ??

I did a search but can't seem to find an answer to this. I've been working out for years (retired army), but discovered Test and deca in S. America on a short tour there four months ago. I started a short, moderate cycle (250 - 500 Test E and 100 deca weekly) and felt great, and enjoyed the gym time so much more.

I'm on a PCT now, but here's the question. I'm 46, in good health, great lipid levels, good BP, normal PSA, etc. Still, I'm wondering if there is any extra problems for guys my age? I see most of you guys posting are younger, so this hasn't really come up. Any advice, first hand knowledge is appreciated. And thanks for the great stuff I've already learned on this forum!

Also, just to throw this in, it's not a mid-life crisis or anything. I feel great about myself. I had just never had access to or thought about AAS in the past.

Age: 46
HT: 6'2"
WT: 205
BF: unk (prob. normal range)

I started about six months ago to recover from the problems I got from chemo for lymphoma. I'm fifty.

I think that once you are no longer a child it can be safe for your body if you don't go crazy with the stuff.

The way my body is I plan on never coming off testosterone. I will do a 250mg per week dose and some times will up that to 500mg and add something else. I just finished a test and tren cycle. Worked great. Everybody, and I do me everybody, tells me how great I'm looking. I even got hit on in Costco the other day by a woman that needed a "Big strong man" to help her out. It's a good thing I love my wife. Well good for me at lest.

If I was you I would use some of the on-line diagnostic services to get your blood work done and see where your hormone levels are really at. I'd give you some links but I don't have them on this computer.

I'm young 27 but know alot of 40 yr olds that are on, My suggestion to you would try to get some HGH and Test, At your age you should be able to find a dotor that would give you a scipt

Some of our mods are probably around your age. RADAR is in amazing shape and he's a little older than you I *think*. You should be fine just keep the levels at a reasonable level. That's my opinion at least. I'm 23 though so take it for what it's worth.

Thanks for your service.

I suggest you visit a HRT (hormone replacement therapy) specialist. At your age, that is your best bet.

Its nice to see the other side of the spectrum. A 40+ year old asking about age. Instead of 17 year old highschool football player. I believe the rule of thumb is when growing has ceased. In men muscular maturity is around 26, I believe. That would seem like the time to start. I started at 22. Wish I would have waited. I'd be starting my first one this year. Shit! G/L
