there are very few artists that are midgets.
well, maybe the artist formerly known as Prince - he is short. but I don't think he is quite midget status.

for a second I thought I might be on to something, combine Blue Man Group with The Big Lebowski scene with the artist and have some sort of canvas set up and paint covered midgets are hurled against it for effect...
there's probably some law against that though.

I spent a few months on the road with the last real carnival freak show out of Gibsonton,Fla. -- including several of the folks that Diane Arbus photographed. I know midgets.

Mhmm. The hootchy kootchie girls are actually more interesting than many of the freaks --- for the fact that half of them (the ones who don't eject hardboiled eggs from their vaginas) are men. You haven't lived until you've seen men in their best hogkilling overalls making egg salad and whistling at transies.

I think they are still around, but that's not a legitimate freak show. It's just a gross-out festival.

If you want to see a film starring a midget, check out Todd Browning's "Freaks" (1932). It's an amazing movie. There's also the all-midget western called "Terror of Tiny Town," which is actually kind of boring except for the fact the cast is all midgets.
