Running before lifting?

I played basketball last night before I lifted. I'm an really out of shape bad. I hadn't done any vigirous exersizes since last summer but anyway. When I got into the guy I was give out. I can in did my speed work and got some water. Turned out I had a really good lifting sesion. I had alot of evergy...which wasn't expected. I lift hard and think it went well. Anyone else exersize before lifting? Would it hurt anything if I continued that cycle? I need to start running a little if nothing else to get in shape. Does it help to have the blood pumping like that?
 
that most exercise i do before i workout is maybe run over to Hajis store(about 27 and a half feet) to get a powerade. just take alot of ephedra before you lift youll have plenty of energy lol. really i think you had more energy becuase your blood was already flowing pretty good. sometimes if i take a nap and dont wake up till like 1 hour before i workout i ave a crappy workout, since my blood isnt really flowing and whatever. thats why i dont take a nap before i train.
 
When I get home from work i'm dead. I take a shower, try to grab a bite to eat and head to the gym. I'm almost always dead when I get there. the shower brings me down I guess. I'm going to tey to start running a little bit to get work up or something. I loved mondays workout. I want more like that. May not be helping me in the long run though.
