Rumsfeld is a psycho!

The following quote should send him to the looney-bin.

"Another way to look at it is this; that the fact that the inspectors have not yet come up with new evidence of Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction program could be evidence in and of itself of Iraq's non-cooperation."

- Continuing along the theme of inevitability, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld says no evidence is strong evidence! This is the kind of deranged lunatic who goes around suckerpunching other men in the back of the head for not staring at his wife's tits.

NO surprise here.

These guys are looking for any reason to go to war. Sad part is most of the sheeple here in America will eat it up like it was a box of cupcakes.

Do you have a link to the entire article? I would be interested in reading it.

LOL

if i ever do any sort of research i'll be sure to remember his logic of "no evidence is strong evidence"!

Could it be you are taking it out of context? When he says no evidence is strong evidence, could he be reffereing to the fact that Iraq has no evidence of what they did with the chemical and bio weapons we know they had. They have no evidence of detroying them.

What's so looney about this statement?

It's saying that the United States has proof of Iraq possessing weapons of mass destruction, however, through the UN agreement we (US) are trying to let the inspectors find them before we, as a last resort, turn over that proof. Now the inspectors can't find anything that is in deed there, hince the non-cooperation by Iraq.

It's kind of like someone stealing something of yours and you catch them on video tape, but whenever you confront them for the truth they deny even taking anything. =not cooperating.

That's the way I read it anyways.

Yeah seems like basically we know iraq has these weapons so the fact that we cant find them shows that iraq isnt co-operating. I think that's a reasonable assumption on our part.

Interesting, except for the fact that the US government has no evidence.

"It is not the responsibility of U.N. inspectors to find the weapons," he said. "It is not their duty nor do they have the ability to find weapons of mass destruction hidden in a vast country."

It isn't? I thought that is what they were supposed to do?

Maybe, maybe not. We will probably see soon.:(

The US government isn't giving up proof yet because (according to them) it would put out the way they gather intelligence plus put people (spies) in danger.

I don't doubt they have strong proof. Why else would we be spending all this $$$ moving/supplying/maintaining troops and weapons? I agree that they will indeed need strong proof before proceeding with an invasion.

According to the US, it's the duty of IRAQ officials to show the inspectors what they have and where. Not the other way around.
