The second-best sandwich I've ever eaten was a po-boy at some place in Baton Rouge. It was roast pork, shredded raw cabbage, mayo, and pork gravy on a big po-boy loaf.
I saw Emeril make the same sandwich once, only instead of cabbage he used pommes frites. French fries on a sandwich seems strange to me, but it looked good.
The best sandwich I've ever eaten was a prosciutto, fresh mozzerella, tomato, and olive oil hero, at Manganaro's Hero Boy on 9th Ave in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. Damn that was good.
There's a new sub shop I've heard about out in the western suburbs, I'm gonna see if they have a good meatball sub. I love meatball subs. Except Quizno's. Quizno's sucks. Every sandwich there tastes exactly the same, no matter what they put on it.
