Routine or not???????????

Hey guys......im just wondering who here follows a routine exactly week after week or just go to the gym and decide the minute before u go in what to do???Im struggling to follow a routine at the moment due to pressure from schoolwork etc.....just wondering what to do idealy!cheers!!!!!
 
Having a routine is key.
For one, you have the piece of mind that everytime you go to the gym you know what you are going to do, and why you do it. Goals are clearer and it gives you a sense of direction. Without a routine you are pretty much lost in my opinion. No tempo, just kinda meanering around the gym like a farmyard animal.
 
i agree, i follow a routine and each 8 weeks i change it up. it is great to track progress, incorporate variety in movements, and periodize your rep scheme.
 
cheers for the responses guys, i was thinking about it the other day when i was in the gym.........i was indeed like a meandering farm animal and that really pissed me off.....cheers guys.......btw has ne one tried "wanna be big" or "time to get massive"(flex) routines?
