Hey guys! I'm looking for some imput on the workout program FOR ME.
I'll do the standard info:
21yr old, about 160lbs at about 5'11.
I'm not overly muscluar, but I'm not overly fat either. I've got a bit of a belly, but when i flex it's almost gone - I want it perma gone! (need more running and abs worked into my routine!! )
I've been working out for a few years with minimal gains. I've tried the Body for Life prog (sorta HIT), as well I've recently been on the 5x5.
I like 5x5 as I feel i'm doing something, but I like the idea of HST/HITT as you're doing it more often.
Goals: I'm NOT trying to huge, I don't want to be a massive yeti... It's for some, but not for me.
I'd like to cut out body fat, and put on a bit of muscle, then have it all toned up (not huge, but cut abs/chest, ect).
The problem: I'm a university student so sometimes I've got lots of time, other times i've got little.
Moreover, I WORKOUT AT HOME with a standard bench (bars and free weights), and no spotter. I'M LIMITED IN MANY EXERCISES! (squats, dips, pulldowns, ect)
I have access to a gym at school, but limited to when I can get there due to class and work! (plus it's a hike from home! )
**Given my goals and limits... is there a routine that I can do that works in some muscle/strenght gains while having me get rid of my gut?
Something that might let me go heavy enough to get a good workout in, but will also let me do it more than once a week?
...I'm going in for Laser eye surgury Friday Feb 18, and I'll be out of commission for at least 1 week. But i wanna start something good when I come back.
Thanks Guys! I apperciate any info you can pass on!
