Root Canals

I just got home from having 2 root canals done.....and I truly believe that it must have been used as an ancient form of torture!!

I got my teeth messed up boxing and I ended up needing 5 of them. They did not hurt that much. Was yours from a cavity??

Yes....

A cavity that I should have probably had filled a while ago....but put it off.

try having a root canal on teeth that have been capped.

i got 4 so far...my dr is cool..if i twitch at all from pain he keeps shooting DIRECTLY IN THE TOOTH and starts drilling again....im numb for days.

I've had one. I broke a tooth on a bone hidden in a dinner a few years ago. I went to a new dentist near work that my coworkers were praising. He did it without telling me what he was about to do. I barely felt it. It hurt more when I had cavities as a child and had to put up with the drill.

Damn I am jealous....I look at sugar and have to brush my teeth because they begin to hurt.

Seriously, my teeth are so "weak" that the ones that aren't capped or crowned I have had to have coated.....

No, I am serious. I have never had a cavity. The only reason I have ever been to a dentist is for cleaning every six months.

I did have 5 teeth pulled all at once when I was 14 but only because I had to have braces and the orthodontist wanted to make some room in my mouth.

If you think pulling a weak tooth is bad, wait until you have had a strong healthy one snatched out.

My greatest fear is having a car wreck and my mouth hitting the steering wheel. Front teeth shooting down my throat....

Don't do it! I've seen just about everyone I know who has had this done have it go bad. It usually goes bad at the worst time(3:00am) or while on vacation. Have them pull the tooth. That's what is going to happen sooner or later anyway.

I had mine done a couple of years ago and I
still have some trouble with the same area.

Ouch!

I have 3 wisdom teeth coming in, two of which are impacted.

I think 2 of them are going to have to be pulled and I am NOT looking forward to it.
