friend of mine was pretty mellow, for the most part. if he got pissed off, he'd go a little overboard, but didn't take too much for any one to get him out of spaz out mode.
he did a cycle and went totally beserk. you couldn't joke around with him, he took everything personally. he was 10x more verbally aggressive than normal, and there were a few times i thought we'd end up going to blows over something stupid because he was flipping out and being an asshole for no reason. what pissed him off more was i wouldn't back down from him.
when he came off cycle, we were sitting around with a few friends and just chatting. i looked him dead in the eyes and told him steroids weren't for him. he was intolerable and a total prick when on. i threatened to beat the desire to use steroids out of him if he went on again. his laughed and asked "yeah? and who in the hell is going to help you?" all i did was looked around the room, and the other 3 guys just nodded their heads. he backed down real quick, and didn't do another cycle until i was gone (all the way across the country) a year and a half later.
none of us wanted to stop him from lifting, but his already slightly fucked up perspective of life was made 10x worse when he was on cycle. as friends, none of us could deal with it. plus we were all in the Marine Corps, and we knew that he was on the verge of getting nailed for using steroids. there was already a lot of suspicion that he was juicing. if he would've gone on again, he would have been nailed for it without a doubt.
had other friends that were running cycles and none of them got like that. a few were a bit more verbally aggressive, but nothing significant. he was the only one out of 8-10 guys i knew that juiced that just couldn't handle himself very well when on.
