I have to chime in here and talk a little about the psychological benefit I get on cycle. There is all too much talk about agression and I for one want to post to the opposite.
When I take dbol or test, like many of you, I feel like a million bucks. I stop to smell the roses, help little old ladies across the street, heck, I even look forward to helping friends move! I know, I know, you'd have to be whacked to like moving, but seriously, the first effect is that I have a great sense of wellbeing, then as the growth begins, I get more self confidence.
Now that is not to say I am in the beach body cowd out to look good in a speedo, but even little bits of growth in groups I don't normally touch, that makes me smile a bit.
When I am doing a deca/dbol/test cycle, I feel awesome the whole time, and even off cycle I still feel good about what I can accomplish when I put my mind to it.
So off cycle too, I never get the depression, rage or other sides that the government would have you believe. I do get depressed at sitting in the gym with the diet in check for years with no results on no gear.
This is ofcourse from a guy in his 30's that spent YEARS before picking a cycle and I in now way would advocate anyone under 25 taking a cycle, because you hypothetically could damage growth plates, and normal development. Heck, up until 26, I was pencil thin! Then like overnight, my shoulders got wider, I grew an inch, and I got stronger. My friend, we'll call him "Tom" took gear from 16-30 and though we are the same age, and his dad was way bigger than mine, I looked a lot better, even natural. So since I have taken time to hit my genetic limit BEFORE taking gear.
So back on topic, the theory that gear has a psychological effect is true, and that the myth of gear causing depression is totally false in my opinion.
I post this as I understand a good portion of labs that I used are now gone, and realize that a 20 week cycle I have at my Ensenada pad is probably one of the last I'll ever do. So off to old age and slugging it out at the gym for no reason other than to pass the time I go. Now that is depressing.
