Rock climbing

New member
Has anyone ever done it? what was your experience like?

im wondering if i need really good stamina, ive only done the walls indoors but havnt checked out the one my friend wants to go to

i've been going frequently, getting better each time though i never have led
tackling 5.8's pretty easily, 5.9-5.10's are much harder
stamina, upper body strength, and balls are what it requires

and i feel much more comfortable sport than trad climbing
just don't feel comfortable relying on cams

I did some rappelling in the military. Why climb a rock when you can blow it up or use a helicopter to get to the top?

I did some rappelling in the past. It scared me shitless since I'm scared of heights, but I like to face my fears.

+1........the first time I did it, I thought I was gonna die.....but then once I realized, I was in control, it became really smooth and fun.

Have you ever tried it head first, i.e. head facing down instead of facing the mountain / hill / wall?

down a wall yes....I tried it that way a couple times, but I have to admit, I didnt really like it as much that way...it was more like just runinng down the wall......

I liked facing the wall, and cliff cuz it made me feel like a ninja :artist:

its really not that bad when your looking out the plane, it kinda looks fake

the scary part is when the parachute opens and you start gliding slowly,
the harness hurts the area around the fun parts though especially when turning

It's the looking down part that is the prb for me....I always imagine falling and crashing

well, you gotta have trust in the equipment for sure

When I jumped i could see from wasaga beach to lake simcoe, i think its different from looking over a tall balcony because when you jump its a full experience,

the air is rushing around you and its loud and really cold, and i guess in the worst case scenario in a tendiem jump at least if something goes wrong your not dieing alone
