That sounds like a blast! Have a terrific time and a shot of Patron silver for me :qt:

Sitting here on the east coast in 19 degree weather personally. We had to break down and turn the heat on finally. Now I'm roasting my ass off because the house is a toasty 58! (hey, yesterday it was 48)!

Hugs!

And WTF is it with all of the burial grounds there all over the course? I can't get my pro-v's out?

I lived on the 3rd hole of Bermuda Dunes Country Club for years, all the courses in Indian Wells are pretty tough. My mother is going to be 88 or 89 on Jan 1. She lives on Palm Desert CC so we are gonna see some green grass and some nice sunshine for a week. It has been in the low 20's here the past week so I am looking for a change, we are gonna trailer the vespa so we can ride in CA.

MM
We are going to stop in Mexico on the way and we are going to cross the border by Indio and visit a couple of my fav restaurants on the border there as well. Too bad ya can't join us.

My trip to Palm Springs was pretty fun. My wife-ish trained this gay couple that were snowbirds, lived in PS during winter, UT spring and summer. They took us golfing, to gay clubs (much gayer than the ones here in UT) and to a strip club. Good times.

Have fun guys!

Come on MM... the more the merrier.

I've been texting with 2 of my girls and ALL FOUR (even my oldest who has rejected every single gift for over 3 years) like something that I sent. They said they would all put on something that I sent and send a pic, so now my holiday will be happy.

We are now somewhere near San Angelo Texas aint NUTHIN for miles! Hell, I hope we can find a place to stay the night that serves alcohol. :worried:

make sure the Yaris is in the glove box next to the Stenson

We had to move it. The ice chest full of fried gizzards and livers taking up all the room.

(No, I am NOT kidding.)

We are going to spend the night in Odessa. Seems that Midland was dry... TOTALLY unacceptable.

Here is my 3rd daughter. She turned 13 several months back. She's wearing one of the sweaters I sent for them.

It's so funny to see this pic next to the one in my avatar! LOL That was her bout 11 years ago! She is the one standing in front with the white springy bow in her hair.

We left San Diego to Portland this eve (xmas eve). We flew of course. It had just started raining in SD when we took off. It is snowing in Portland. Gonna hit up Puddle Monkey in a couple days for a meat up. Fly back to SD on 1/1. Hopefully it'll be sunny and relatively warm by then.

Use to live in Indio off 10 on Monroe.

We just left the 20 to the 10 and are about 200 hundred miles from Las Cruces, NM. The sky is just AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL.

We just left all the pumpjacks out in west texas.

We had breakfast at a place called Huddle House, the only place open for miles. I was really REALLY depressed this morning but everyone was so nice and cheery and merry... put me in the holiday spirit. and the food wasn't so bad.

Will post up a coupla pics in a minute here.

Keep losing the damned internet so I will post pics later.

So here we are in El Paso and us gringos can't find the damned border. WTF?!?!

Well we found Jaurez, Mexico and Jayzus... what a miserable place. We got lost and all I have to say is that I have ZERO desire to EVER go back there again. So now, go ahead and TRY to find your way BACK!!!

Nothing was open as it is Christmas Day (duh) but even then...

Finally we had to pay some dude to tell us how to find the border. It was *right there* but so tricky to find the actual street TO it... oi.

Glad to be back in the US.

On our way to find someplace to eat and tie one on and find a bed for some "holiday ass". LOL

If you guys wanna crash at my place in Tucson thats cool. You'll need an air mattress or something.

The funny thing is I was in Juarez visiting the GF's aunt. Dude, I hate to sound like closed minded, but yeah, I never felt so 'white' in my life. I mean Ana drove there in her Rav4 and has mad skills, shit way too many pedestrians moving through, and yeah it reminds me of Manila with the amount of poverty.

Peeps were pretty affable and kind though. I opted to stay at Limonero's coffee shop while she went to some family party, and it was a pretty kewl coffee shop, I mean it had a combination feel of Hispanic culture, sublimated with an 'artsy' decor. I should've took pics. Her Aunt has like 4 kids and her house is kinda small, so we stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Lucerna for and only paid like 140 for extreme luxury. My piece of shit Kodak digital I didn't take, well cause it never works right, and has a battery life of like 2 hours tops. One night we did go out to some techno bar called Serata or something like that, and it wasn't too bad, however all in all, while I dig my girl, I really am not eager to go to Juarez again.

On Feb. 8 we are going to Puerto Vallarte and then to Guadelejara to visit her mom, and so Yeah I have to get back in shape so I don't kill the romance by being a fatty. Taking 7 weeks off and eating at IN&Out Burgers 4 days a week, drinking Budweiser, and Coors light during the weekends Tday, and Post Graduation Stagnation has put 14 lbs in my gut, thats gotta go before Puerto Vallarte.

Hope U and Grump don't blimp out like me. LOL

I'll be back in San Fran on the 3rd, so if U are in the bay area swing by and we will go to Tosca and have some drinks and just chill.

oh, that's great news. what did you get them?
Your daughter (the one you posted a pic of) is SO cute. same age as my daughter. :)

Funny I built an apartment complex on Monroe and Hwy 111 lived there until I got a couple tenants.

I love the desert, we woke up to a beautiful sunrise and the snow on the mountains is breathtaking.

But it's cold.

So you know the area well. I went to indio high for a lil awhile, until i got booted back out to east LA. I love the desert as well. My grandmother lives off jackson and got an aunt(she makes bank) off cook in plams springs. have you ever been up to the tram in Plams springs??? You should take BM up there. Really nice. They got a nice restuarant up there.

I bought myself a wholebuncha stuff online at Victoria's Secret at the end of summer clearance (pants and really really pretty sweaters). I held aside several that I would hope to give my girls personally when I get to see them, but since that didn't happen I sent them for Christmas. I also gave them 4 outfits (including my signature hats and savorski crystal bandanas) from the biker wear company that I had that nightmarish experience in Galveston with. I got four pair of goofy christmas toe socks (mandatory christmas gift), I made a CD with music and I printed out a copy of one of my children's books and wrote a special dedication for them which I will now permanently incorporate into the book.

Here is a pic of my daughter wearing one of the bikerwear outfits with the hat. LOL

And this pic I *aquired* from myspace. This is my olest (now 16 1/2) and my second (15) with their very handsome and very gay (my ex's family are MAJOR homophobes) cousin.

2q0vqmq.jpg

It makes me feel good to see my oldest look so pretty and normal and smiling but my second daughter NEVER smiles... even in all of her myspace/facebook pics. Since last year she always looks so sad.

*sigh*

I didn't get any pics of my youngest yet but she does text me.

I sent them all pics of my husband's mom and they were very pleased, said they wanted to someday meet her. My mother-in-law REALLY is a cool lady. Seriously, I was very VERY pleasantly surprised at how very amicable and sharp she is. We have hours long conversations. Many aspects of this trip have been an outright disaster but this one (I guess the most important one) has been very VERY pleasant.

Bro,

When I started coming to Palm Springs there were two stop signs from Indio to Palm Springs. I used to go to Salton Sea and actually water ski. Cook in Palm Desert is about 1 1/2 miles from my mothers house we are on Washington btwn Hwy 111 and I 10.

Of course, and beer at Noel's Lounge.(what a dump) The sex life of a date is boring though. Their feathured film... The date crystals and date shakes are my fav. Most everyplace I used to hang out is gone. Ths place has changed in just a couple years.

It's actaully worse were my grandfather use live when he was alive. He lived in north indio. Place is a ghost town now. It's the ghetto part of indio. There's really nothing there. It's real sad to see it after all this time. It use to be a nice place when i was a kid.

OH Bmom, I hope that you read my message....I hope that you and the Mr Grump had yourselves a wonderful holiday..I miss you guys like seriously he will tell you as I nag him constantly about how much I miss you guys. My Leah misses you too, she never (and I mean never) fails to mention you.

So anyways, how is the trip going? Did you reach the destination yet? Update?

Miss Angel, you really are much too sweet. Thank you. I miss little Miss Leah too. She is SUCH a lovable little trouble-maker  - a girl after my heart. We've been here a few days. My mother-n-law is the coolest lady on the planet. I am not exaggerating. I really enjoy her company. But I think we are going to have to cut our trip short. We were hoping not to have to work again until 5 JAN but that doesn't seem to be the case. Shitty trip here, all too short while we are here and I am afraid will be a shitty trip back.

But that's ok... soon this *holiday* will be over and then it will be business as usual, looking forward to all sorts of projects in the new year - prosperity will be the word for my family as well as yours! :)

we took a ride through Indio today, went by Niel's lounge, still a shithole we didn't stop by. We went through Desert Hot Springs, what another shithole. We stopped by a place called Handlebar's and had the biggest burger I have ever seen. BM has a couple pics of the Junior Burger. So enough about In & whatever that other place is.

The entire Valley has built up so much there are major stores all along Hwy 111 into Indio from Palm Springs. They have little condo's Uptown Palm Springs that start at 500k.

Damn I am sure glad we live in Dallas, next year without attorneys to feed and hopefully 4 girls we should buy a little house in the Desert to use during the winter.

I miss this weather and the scenery it is really nice here.

We will come back in March and do some serious shopping and head out to the beach for a little fun in the sun.

Well my love, I look forward to hearing about all the new details for work that float on in when it comes to you and the Mr. I hope that all of your new projects work out, and then some!!

I must admit I have terrible eczema when it comes to my skin and this shitty new england winter weather. My loving other half is on my ass about the emu oil..I may just allow him the pleasure of rubbing it on my arms and back in the up coming days. I will def give you and D a hollar and let you know how it works out. As for plans for the new year and money in the wallet, one never knows what may come their way. There are so many opportunities out there, all you gotta do it put your mind to it and have faith in it. Which I know a strong mind and great faith are two of your lovely qualities. Therefore I am assured that all will work wonderfully for you and him.
I am glad that you are enjoying your time with your mother in law. Also glad that she is awesome and not some "you took my son you aweful women" type of lady. Really works out for a man when he has his two key ladies in the same corner. Then again you cannot be disliked by anyone that meets you face to face, and anyone that he came from must have a kind heart as he had to get it from some where. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and holiday and please travel home safely and try not to get lost looking for a border! LOL

You should go to the cabazon outlets for shopping. They have everything. Plus having casino Morongo just right there is nice.

No time for such lolligagging... *sigh* We've already left and are on our way to Tuscon. :( Mebbe time for more fun next trip out. We made the coolest videos of my motherinlaw, will send them to my girls. She is 84 (or sumthin like that) and is as sharp as a tack. We were doing a three stooges type skit about how the three of us couldn't figure out how to untangle a tie for the bike. We were really laughing. What was that joke about how many polacks does it take to screw in a lightbulb LOL? My old Grump's dad was polish (and my ex is too). So we were really cutting up on the video for my kids... I hope that someday we can bring them to meet her. They would be really good for one another. I don't think there is any chance of her coming to live with us anytime soon. She REALLY enjoys her independence.

Nope, you missed us bout 2 1/2 hours ago. We are currently bout 11 miles outside of Bowie. Stopped by a winery where the wine was SO ICKY that we bought a bottle because we sorta felt sorry for the girl behind the counter. We were VERY disappointed. The cab had no *umph*, and the others were so sickly sweet. Oi my sister would have been in heaven! We bought a bottle of the only stuff that wasn't totally awful: their syrah, which was still lacking (and horribly overpriced at 12$ a bottle) but drinkable.

Look who decided to rejoin the race of non-homeless lookin peeps? Will wonders never cease?

Here's my Old Grump and his mom.

qq8oox.jpg

Oh my shuttered head, did Grump shave some of his beard for this occasion?

It looks a bit shorter than usual in that pic with his mom.

He actually brought me some scissors while we were there and told me to cut it. When we get back to a proper barber it will be tightly and properly trimmed. He'll keep the bald head just have a very well-manicured beard, the way it was when we first met.

The homeless guy phase was fun while it lasted (not for me) but I am soooooooo happy that he FINALLY outgrew it.

glad you two are having a blast! happy new year!!!!

Happy New Year to you as well!

With the exception of my MIL being an ABSOLUTE DOLL the entire trip was an utter NIGHTMARE... one of those things that a wife NEVER EVER lets her husband forget if he gets a bit to 'ornery.

I can't wait to get back to my home.
