Since people have posted what they think works or not, i decided to post what supplements i do think work.

1. creatine (some see results immediately)
2. WPC/Dextrose (post work out 80g dextrose, 50g WPC)
3. Alpha Lipoic Acid (you'll feel immediately as well, it can be used as insulin potentiator, shuttles carbs into muscles, gives you pumps from full muscles at the gym, detoxifies liver and increases glutathione levels.)
4. B-50 twice daily (helps metabolize carbs, proteins, and fats.
5. BCAA's (w/ post workout shake for recovery, or before workout as anticatabolic).
6. Ginger or digestive enzymes (helps you metabolize much more protein than your stomach can)
7. Fiber (essential for detoxification of body and prevention of constipation from increased protein)
8. Selenium 200mcg, Vit.E 400u, Vit.C 1g (daily along w/ multivitamin)
9. Flax Seed Oil (opens receptors, detoxifies, has essential fatty acids, and numerous other things).
10. ZMA or simple zinc/magnesium pill (prevention of zinc depletion after intense workouts which will decrease testosterone levels)
11. N-Acetyl-Cysteine (will increase glutathione levels)
12. Glutamine (helps detoxify liver, adds to hypoglycemia allowing you to digest more protein, increases recovery rate, and is anticatabolic).
13. L-tyrosine can help you before a work out, works better w/ some people though.
14. Prohormones (let me not start a debate, some say they do work some say they don't)
15. Cranberry pills (for kidneys and urinary tract, especially when taking creatine)
16. Milk Thistle Extract (protects your liver from alcohol, prohormones, gear, etc.)
17. Saw Palmetto (for the prostate and releases DHT from scalp to prevent balding, good for after a cycle of either prohormones or roids)
18. ECA or similar stacks (all good to lose weight although controversial to its effects).
19. Multivitamin/mineral (essential)
20. Tribulus (only good if you're old or coming off a cycle)
21. Chrysin (only good after cycle as antiestrogen)
22. CoQ10 (most effective i've felt in boosting immune system).
23. Food and Water (i'm mentioning this b/c i know somebody will if i don't lol).

Unless i've forgotten something... i believe the rest of the stuff is crap or i haven't tried it. All these i've used, most of them i use now and most can be taken year round as i do now. Anything i'm missing here guys that you guys used w/ success???:vanp:
 
Riskybiz - You are the man! I think you just saved me about two hours worth of searches.

I'm plannig on doing my first ever cycle in October or January. Will most likely be deca/winny. I've been concentrating on researching a good first cycle, but have not yet had time to look into the appropriate supps.

I'm familar with maybe a quarter of the supps you've mentioned. And, frankly, I don't know how the hell you guys keep them all straight.

This will be the first page on this board I've ever printed. Thanks again bro!
 
Hey bro as your first cycle of Deca/winny is IMO one of the best options as a first cycle. Some of these supps will help you out, don't go out and buy the whole list lol, but some of it is neccessary and some you should consider like ALA, MIlk Thistle, Cranberry Extract for your liver and kidneys, good protectors during a cycle.

this list sucks.........

here is why-if your doing all the drugs like i think ur doing u can eat doritos and get ripped!basically ur a victim of the placebo effect- ur takin a shit load of drugs and now swear that fuckin milk thisle is kicking in hard!why dont u stop the cycles and try this list out and tell me id u still think selenium is a hot number! basicall y ur sounding like u work for these supplement companies. im not gonna sayur list is toal shit im just saying alot of stuff ull never need and u might think they work cause of the juice!
 
Jeez. Longest run-on sentence I've ever seen.

Risky, isn't it a pain in the ass to take all of that stuff throughout the day? I don't think I'd be able to hold down a full-time job if I had to concentrate on taking all of those pills.

Have you noticed any interactions between those supplements, either positive or negative?

I seriously doubt risky is saying to take ALL of those supps together. It is simply a list he compiled based on his personal experience and the general concensus he's received from others who've used them. If you read what he says and have read his various posts in other threads, you'd know he doesn't believe they ALL work fantastically.

The whole point in this list was to give people a convenient way to read through a lot of the supps that are discussed on this board and what they are normally used for. No one is suggesting to take them all together...look at what you are trying to accomplish and select what you feel might benefit you.

Spoofer - this is a list of supplements bro. Where did gear come into play? You're making it out to be something it's not (this list). I've used quite a few of these supplements, some with good results and others not, and I've NEVER juiced. Also, I seriously doubt risky works for any supplement company. It'd almost have to be TwinLab to find a company that markets ALL of those supps. If you'd read his other posts, you know he's highly skeptical of prohormones. Get your facts straight before posting man.

Not to mention it seems the two of you started an ongoing arguement about supplements since you both have your own supps list thread. Yours is short, his is longer.

If you had been on these boards longer and read more, you'd realize that your list is indeed missing quite a few supps that many guys on here solidly believe in. And if you venture over to the anabolic board, you'd notice quite a few guys there think milk thistle is a pretty good idea while cycling.

#1 - I am not starting in too, just saying not to be so narrow-minded concerning these supps.

This list comprises only a small fraction of all the sh*t that's out on the market today. Most of them are crap, but some of them indeed work. As he stated, this is a list of what many people on the boards think work.

#2 - I agree with most of what you said above: nothing replaced hard work and a good diet; most people do not need all of these supps, that's why I said be selective in what you think might help you acheive your personal goals; no, there certainly is no "magic bullet".

I think he included prohormones because a good number of people have tried them and had decent results. I'm on a prohormone cycle right now and have experience good results with no obvious side effects. I am looking carefully though because I know it's not uncommon to have sides. Until I do decide to move to gear though, it's the closest thing available.

All I'm saying is this: don't knock something strictly because YOU don't think it works. I don't believe everything I hear and I know there's lots of crap out there, but many of the supps on this list are thought beneficial by quite a few people on these boards.

Personally, I only use protein, creatine, flax oil, glutamine, ECA/ECY stack, prohormones, vits and ocassionally some fiber and herbs. Don't use 'em all the time (except protein, flax & vits), but they've worked for me.
 
Spoofy man... you're such an idiot. I never said these were magic bullets, nor did they replace hard work and training, and never did i say to take them every day all of them. That's a total waste of money. Right now i'm 233 at 12%BF 19"arms and i got there w/out steroids and w/out prohormones. I got there through hard work. The supplement list is just a guide, and if people have questions maybe i could help them out as to its effectiveness b/c i have taken all of them at one point or another. I agree that nothing replaces food and water and hard work, but some of the supplements i listed sure as hell do contribute to gains *IF your diet and training is where it's suppossed to be*.

So what's the deal w/ the supplements? I take them as needed. Selenium, Vit.C, Vit.E are all excellent antioxidants and i only take them after a work out to get rid of all the free radicals your body builds up during intense training. Selenium at 200mcg a day is anticarcinogenic also, that's why else i take it after a work out, to be on the safe side. If there is history of cancer in your family i would take it every day.

CoQ10 is excellent IMO at boosting your immune system. You know training lowers your immune system and people get sick. When i start feeling sick i take the antioxidants listed above every day (not just after training) and i take 30mg of CoQ10 in gelcapsule form once or twice a day. It knocks out your cold before it even starts. It's been doctor recommended b/c i used to get sick a lot and w/ CoQ10 i haven't been sick in over a year. Which is a miracle for me. It's excellent antioxidant and immune system enhancer. Also to add, ALA is also very good antioxidant as well and helps prevent colds. ALA i take every day 600mg (3 doses, 200mg before a meal).

HandsomePete I don't take all this stuff every day. I'd be broke. I take them as needed and depends on my goals. If you got specific questions i'll be glad to answer.

hey poofster, i think 19" guns on anything under 15% bodyfat is pretty damn impressive, unless you are a lowland gorilla. as far as juicing goes, i no longer could say i am natural with all the prohormones i've chugged down. w

Hey BacDoc i haven't seen u around here in a long time. Wsup? I know you recommended the ATP Mass long time ago and i tried a bottle of it. I didn't list it b/c it really didn't do anything for me. I know it's helped a lot of other people out though, I still am wondering why the hell my gains didn't pull through w/ that supplement.

Spoofy-Poofy I didn't know 12% was considered fat. Anyways i never said i was ripped, but i'm definately not fat. And I am in good CV shape, I always am except when having hard time bulking.

Just wondering what are your stats? Be brave enough to show your stats!! I did mine, and I'm happy w/ gains i've made. If at 10% BF you start showing abs, i guess that whole 2% more will just make you considered to be fat right? You prove yourself to be more moronic every time you speak!

risky i only posted about 20 times on this site , before you call be stupid u should of did a search cause u would see my pic u bloated son of a bitch- i noticed u posted about 150 times and i still see no pics from u??u probably weigh about 70 pounds more than me but i guarrantee im much stronger than you.not only that but i train (spar) with world class boxers,while your candy ass is home drinking sunny delight( i read your post about that too)!so before u jump the gun on others know the facts!!its always big mouths like yourself that start in w/ others and end up getting dismantled!
 
I think some supplements work, but they can only rise A LITTLE your performances. If you really have tons of money buy them, but anyway the traditionnal food is the most important thing by far. I think creatine, whey, BCAA, and maybe glutamine are important but the others are a little useless and they are too expensive (HMB lol) Just my 02c.

I'm about 11% b/f and sure as shit am neither fat nor bloated. I'm in a bluking phase right now so stepping over 10% b/f isn't bad and will cut back down. I've been as low as 6% b/f so I know what lean & ripped is, but 11-12% is NOT fat. Maybe your goal was a personal attack on risky, but in doing so you also call anyone else around 12% b/f bloated & fat. Check yourself bro. :mad:
