ripped fuel before marathon ?

I´m used to take ripped fuel before the morning run

this monday I´ll run a marathon (my first one)

I'm not running for a position, so i will not be controlled for dopping, i'm shure...

but I'm not so shure if taking ripped will be a wise decision

what do you think ?
 
you might crash iin about five hours, if it takes longer to run than that no way would I take it. I have 0 idea how long a marathon takes though
 
I take hydroxy or nyc when I run in the morning. There has been a couple mornings I forgot to take it. Those morning I had more air and felt like I could run further. I think it would affect your endurance.

For running a marathon I would say no. I would load up on pastas the night before and go in refreshed.

hmmm hell no.

You might breath better, but the increase heart rate might suffer especially a marathon, it not a 30min cardio WO.


and with the caffeine in it it might bring some cramps too.
 
Don't if you are being tested.

Remember that you MUST take in carbs during a marathon at the various stops (gels etc) - will the eca stop you from remembering to take them in? DOn't want you hitting the wall at 21 miles, that'd be a shame.

Best of luck BTW - and 4 hours is a pretty good time, go for it!

that's a good point i'd never think before !
 
I use Xenadrine (same thing), and think it helps tremendously. I even took it during the Kona Marathon, which is in Hawaii during the end of June, and still didn't suffer from dehydration. However, I am pretty fortunate in that I don't really cramp or get dehydrated that easily, and I practiced using Xenadrine before my long training runs as well. Just make sure to drink as often as possible--take a couple swigs at as many water stations as possible.

Xenadrine really boosts concentration and mental focus, which is key in a marathon.

days between marathons

now I was invited to run another one at the first december...
I read that a guy should rest a day per mile wat means 26 days after another marathon...

what do you think ?
 
hey good luck on your marathon bro, i did a half marathon before and it was pretty long. i dont think you should take ripped fuel simply because marathon is a elongated cardio session. You will be using mostly energy from carb stores so i dont think youll need to depend on a supliment, maybe if you were sprinting I would say yes but this is a long run. Just carb load2-3 days before the marathon. Also, run with no shirt or the shirt will kill your nipples, trust me ive seen my share of bloody nipples in a marathon:) peace andd good luck
