My Lady is gone..... died in my arms....

Took her to the vet this morning, and they took her in the back & put a catheter in her arm..... I held her in a towel while they injected her.... As soon as they finished the injection....she became limp & the breath left her body..... I closed her eyes.....

She was always a Lady -- regal in her bearing and demeanor.... I couldn't let her continue suffering without dignity...

RIP Momo (her nickname) - I will miss you...

OH MY

I am so sorry to hear that, it is strange, people dont realise how pets really do grow on u and become a very very big part of your life, and when their gone, they leave a gap/void in your heart.

Hope u feel better soon

Always a lady and you let her die as one....

with dignity and peace

I feel for you and know how tough it is.
You will in time see that you did the right thing by her.

Sorry Jen....that is SO hard to do....I have a hard time being there when we had had to put down our dogs....HUGS

For anyone who has had to do this -- do I toss her cat bed?? I have others, but since it has her scent & all, do I toss it?? I don't want the other 2 cats to be upset or freaked out by it....

Sorry to hear about your loss.
:rose:
Hugs to you sweetheart

That has to be hard. We have a lot of critters and they're all gonna live forever.

RIP kitty. :(

I had to bury some cats when I was a kid. Never went to a vet though

Damn Jen. I feel for you. All of our animals lasted for several years and my parents always handled that. I dread it w/ my kitty and hope I can deal with it when the time comes. Its sad but inevitable and the best you can do is what you've done.

ah shit i'm sitting here crying at work.

Well, lots of love & lots of memories. Those both stay w/ u forever. :rose:

I put a pic of her in my avatar to remember her by for a bit... Gonna print out some pics of her cuz I have a nice frame I can put them in....

Plus, I'm definitely going to get a memorial stone for the yard...

Thank you everyone for all your nice comments..... :rose:

Damn Jens..that must have been a tough deal to cope with. How did you drive home. I hope all goes well. When a cat dies that has been with you for awhile, then part of you dies. THAT SUX

I cried the whole way to the vet, the whole time I was at the vet & the whole way home..... If I talk about it, I cry....

But she looked at me in a certain way today & to me, that look said "I'm ready -- time to let me go." So I did....

yes, I think catz have a 6th sense and know what is going on. I once had a cat that was a nightmare. He was put to sleep. But the whole way to the vet on hiss last day, he behaved and purred. When the serum was injected, the cat had a smile. REST IN PEACE BALLY

Awwww, I am sorry to hear about your loss. I know how attached you were to your kitty. You did the right thing and now she is freee of all pain in kitty heaven...
:rose: RIP madonna :rose:

My condolences. I think one of the reasons I don't have a pet is the fear of coming home and finding him or her passed.
