the short version... basically what happened was the 4 year old had a crack mother and the state took the child and placed it in a foster family.
From there, no one really knows what happened because vast errors all around turned it into a shit fest.
The DFC worker didn't go visit the child for 16 months. She made fake reports that she did.
The foster family didn't report the child missing until 3 years later. AFter they were confronted with the missing child case. They claimed the DFC arrived to take the child for medical testing and never returned her.
Employees from the DFC and the foster family were all charged with felonies that were UNRELATED to the missing child case. Fraud, grand theft, forgery, abuse, etc... Shit, they were ending up in jail without this child case.
Anyway, they still haven't found the body yet and the dumb bitch is not saying anything to help.
Sept. 29, 1996: Rilya Wilson is born to a homeless cocaine addict.
April 2000: The Department of Children & Families places Rilya and her younger sister, Rodericka, with Geralyn and Pamela Graham, who claim to be sisters. Geralyn Graham says she is Rilya's paternal grandmother.
Mid-April 2002: Geralyn Graham tells a state adoption services counselor that Rilya has been gone since January 2001, when a woman claiming to be a DCF worker took her for medical examination.
April 25: State tells police Rilya is missing; judge issues pickup order for her.
May 1: DCF removes Rodericka Wilson from the Graham home.
May 6: DCF says its background checks failed to show Geralyn Graham had a long criminal history of fraud.
May 26: Panel blames DCF caseworker DeBorah Muskelly, her supervisor and the Grahams for Rilya's disappearance going unnoticed for 15 months.
Oct. 2: Geralyn and Pamela Graham are arrested on fraud charges.
Jan. 16, 2003: A Miami-Dade County jury finds Geralyn Graham guilty of fraud for using a friend's identity to buy a new sport utility vehicle.
Aug. 15: Pamela Graham accepts a plea agreement that allows her to avoid prosecution in exchange for completing two years of probation.
AApril 2, 2004: DeBorah Muskelly, former caseworker who claimed she was visiting Rilya when she worked another job, is sentenced to five years' probation for billing the state for work she did not do.
Aug. 18: Police charge Geralyn Graham with kidnapping and aggravated child abuse, and Pamela Graham with child abuse and neglect.
Sept. 9: Pamela Graham and Geralyn Graham plead not guilty to child abuse charges.
Jan. 6, 2005: A judge sets $150,000 bail for Geralyn Graham for the kidnapping and aggravated child abuse charges in Rilya's disappearance.
March 16: A Miami-Dade grand jury indicts Geralyn Graham, 59, on charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated child abuse .
