Reversing Masculinized Voice?????

From what I understand the laser procedure is very unpredictable, (meaning you could end up with a squeaky Barbie voice) not to mention very expensive.
I have helped out in the OR with the laser surgery. It is not that great but it can help a bit and sometimes a lot.
How deep is it anyway...I mean when she answers the phone is she addressed as a guy...no seriously.
If she isn't then it may actually sound sexy.
Just curious....how much deca was she using and for how long?

When did her voice get deeper?
It's my understanding that if you stop using AS as soon as you notice deepening, it will stop and possibly return close to normal. The longer you continue using after sides start, the more of a chance they will be permanent.

Nope. Not true. Even if you stop as soon as you notice it, it could very well be too late. It might lighten some after stopping, but for some people it never goes back completely.

DITO......If you stop while noticing that your throat feels raspy, or if you have a cough, or at most if it cracks a bit then perhaps voice tome lowering could be avoided but once it drops you're shit out of luck. You see the thing that makes the voice drop is actual swelling and growth of the vocal cord caused by the androgen. The swelling will go away but the growth will not thus minor reversal is possible but never total reversal.........thats were the laser comes into play...they actually shave off some of the cord tissue!

I was not trying to imply that voice deepening was not permanent, I know it is, and apologize if it appeared I was saying that.
But I have read posts where in some people's experiences, once they noticed a change, they stopped using and the change halted and reverted CLOSE TO normal - but never totally back to normal.

I took Deca, noticed my voice cracking while on it, but didn't stop using. I thought I was sick.
I have read it is permanent. My voice is definitely deeper, and the only way of altering it is through laser surgery...
But my husband says it makes me sound sexier

I never truly sounded like froggy while on. I mean I just woke up and it cracked like I was a teenage boy. Then, it became lower. It did, however, lighten up a bit after my cycle was over.
Now, having a low voice, I still get the occassional "Sir, may we speak to the woman of the house." I have been on the phone with people from the boards. They will testify under oath that I do not sound bad. I may sound like a phone sex operator, but not a man

Yes a somewhat lowered voice tone is rather sexy. he he he
But I had a training partner that sounded like a man and that wasn't sexy.
I think if one is careful and stops the cycle with the first symptoms, and doesn't use 200mg of deca and 200 of test per week, like my partner did, then you souldn't have too much of a problem with the voice.
