This should be such a happy time for this household but my Mother-in-law and father-in-law got their cancer results back.

Mom has cancer and due to our beautiful( read shitty) medical system, she has to wait until June before anything is done She is such a great women and my I love her like my own Mom, it kills me to see her under so much stress and worry.

Dad might have it and was scheduled for more tests, the Dr. then calls and cancels it saying it is to small to test, if it is cancer it will grow so we will wait and see what happens, WTF.

This country's medical system is the shits. Over the last 2 months I have dealt with it over a dozen times and am shocked at how bad things are here.


I was through this with my parents who both had cancer(they both beat it) and it brings back all the emotions that I went through then.

Damn it sucks when you are helpless to doing anything for those you love!

I hear ya:

canada's medical system -- Good in design. Good in principle. HORRIBLE in implementation.

With canada's massive immigration system -- one would think that medical services, resources and professionals would increase in comparison. To handle the increased population.

Of course not.

End result: Waiting lines grow. Resources get strained. More Canadians die.

Oh and heaven FORBID you don't live in Canada's top 10 metro areas. SOL.

Either way -- I hope things work out good. I know how stressful these moments can get. We're here for ya.

right. waiting for things to grow is unnacceptable. if its accessable, go in and get it. biopsies are not that expensive, believe it or not. go to another doc. get a referral. a second opinion. do SOMETHING, anything...other than wait for it to get worse
