Well i had a Wolf Fish in teh tank which was about 12" long

I have a Red Tail Catfish in there too with him whos about 2 feet in length.

Looks like he got a hold of him.

We used to have 2 piranha in college - they were HUGE. obviously we all get high as shit and just throw every kind of animal possible in there and watch em tear it apart. there were a ton of weird animals in our college neighborhood,so one day we all got loaded and zooted and had an animal war. we put a rat, a scorpion, a tarantula and a baby alligator (forget what they are called) into a cage with a python. we also threw a HUGE Oscar into the piranha tank. fucking hours of fun,

You really could and should get a couple hundred for them both. Wolf fish are illegal where I live in Virginia. Mean as shit, just shows you how amazing catfish are. Eat anything. Try giving them some mice.

Oh Damn! I just realized what a wolf fish is. They are destroying the largemouth bass population and other species in the northern areas and supposedly working their way down south.

I remember reading an article about them.

I was just talking to my boy fro mcollege and I remember the other animal we threw in the cage - a bat!! one day we were all in my boys house and all of a sudden a fuckin bat comes flying up the basement stairs into the living room. we all jumped up like a bunch of bitches as the thing flies around the room. we ended up smashing it on the couch with a pillow. musta broke his wing cause he couldn't fly. none of the other animals touched him in the cage, so we took him out and threw him in someone else's house.
 
i had 3 snake heads in my tank before this wave of fish now.

in the end one survived to be 3 feet long. i fed him whole chicken cutlets.

couldnt put my hand in the tank.

anyone know of a place to get some snakeheads? maybe online perhaps?
 
Good lord that snakehead fish looks like Lucifer in fish form.

And dunk, awesome picture, and also hilarious. Really sneaky with the entire tail hanging out of his grill. I love Red Tail cats though. So cool.

Yea that's the fish I am thinking about. They look very similiar. Snakehead is a very nasty fish. Reminds me of the Bowfin here. Caught a 13lb Bowfin one time and got him in the boat and he broke about everything in the boat. Like trying to control an eel. Bastard.

They are banned here for the damage they are doing. The immigrants that put them in the lakes and rivers didn't realize that the snakeheads would start killing anything that swam. They survive for some time on land and use that ability to get to water when necessary.

it was weird cause no animal would go near the bat, and the bat couldn't fly around. the python ate the rat. the scorpion stung the rat at least once. the fish tank was the shit though. watching two piranha attack and eat the hell out of a HUGE oscar was sick

We used to have hamster fights. Those litte fucks are mean. Would literally chew the other ones face off then eat it.

My Red Tail Cat Swallowed my wolf fish. today i find he spit his head out.

I had an Oscar and a Jack Dempsey but the Catfish ate them. :worried:
 
piranah are legal... i think someone read something wrong earlier...

the niger piranah are bad as fuck but way too much cash... gold bellied look like red bellied but are mean as fuck...

red belly will cost like 8 bucks each for babies... when i was a kid i ALWAYS had a tank of them... had 4 grow to about 8 inches.. i used to pet them, it was cool... i've had success keeping them WITH cichlids too but the cichlids were always a little bigger (usually jack dempseys)...

i'm surprised the one dudes piranhas actually chowed the oscar, i would think they wouldnt see it as food but they probably had their tank set as THEIRS and were being territorial...


ANYONE else have an electric catfish? awesome.
