Hey, anyone else get a letter like this, "The property described on the attatched property inventory list was siezed by the us postal inspection service for forfeiture for a violation of title 21 usc 841 et seq.. steps are being taken to forfeit the property administratively pursuant to title 21 usc 881 and the following additional federal laws and regulations: title 19 usc sections 1602-1621 and title 39, code of federal regulations section 233.7"
" if you want to contest the forfeiture of the seized property in the united states district court you must file a claim of ownership with the us postal inspection service by april 17th.......bla bla bla"
Ok, now the "property" in question is $300, it was siezed on dec 21, and was siezed in Oviedo FL from J.R.'s po box. what should i do? i know it is not illegal to send cash through the mail but i am definately not going to contest this and try to get the cash back. what i am worried about is my addy being flagged for future orders. or about my door being busted down and house searched. what should i do?
