the legality of gh

i've seen some questionable info being passed around here. so for those of you who care:

gh is not a federally scheduled controlled substance. so mere possession of it is not a crime at the federal level. however, possession with intent to distribute gh is a crime. obviously there's a difference between possession of 1 kit and 10 kits. much easier to prove your intent to sell with 10 kits as opposed to 1 or 2. whether you actually do intend to sell or not is irrelevant, it's about what the assistant a.g. can prove to a jury. and receiving gh in the mail can be grounds for a controlled delivery. actually, in this day and age a controlled delivery can probably be arranged for the illegal receiving of a ham sandwich.

this is all public info, so verify if you like.

from section 21 USC 333
(e) Prohibited distribution of human growth hormone
(1) Except as provided in paragraph (2), whoever knowingly distributes, or possesses with intent to distribute, human growth hormone for any use in humans other than the treatment of a disease or other recognized medical condition, where such use has been authorized by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under section 355 of this title and pursuant to the order of a physician, is guilty of an offense punishable by not more than 5 years in prison, such fines as are authorized by title 18, or both.
(2) Whoever commits any offense set forth in paragraph (1) and such offense involves an individual under 18 years of age is punishable by not more than 10 years imprisonment, such fines as are authorized by title 18, or both.
(3) Any conviction for a violation of paragraphs (1) and (2) of this subsection shall be considered a felony violation of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.) for the purposes of forfeiture under section 413 of such Act (21 U.S.C. 853).
(4) As used in this subsection the term "human growth hormone" means somatrem, somatropin, or an analogue of either of them.
(5) The Drug Enforcement Administration is authorized to investigate offenses punishable by this subsection.

state law
in some states it is a controlled substance and can carry the same penalties as other controlled substances. do your own research for your state, this is all the charity you get.

Good to know - has IGF been referenced anywhere that you know of? I think someone posted that there is no law regarding IGF as of yet...

Some states however DO have GH classified as a scheduled product.

yup IGF is still a research drug, give it a year or so the US gov. will probably jump on it.
