Regaine Extra Strength

PANTS

New member
Just managed to get Regaine on prescription.
Wondering if anyone has used the lotion with success?

Will it help to protect the hairline during a cycle, or is Nizoral better for this?
Thanx

The problem with the cycle is increased androgen activity in the scalp, as far as I know rogaine will not affect that which is not a good thing. Nizoral is ok but weak, try some spironolactone if you can get it. I relied on nizoral 1% last cycle and lost hair from dbol, wont take any chances this time.

You talking about rOgain right? It should help - it will not block androgens (which cause the problem) but it will help to retard/reverse the type of damage they do. Durring a cycle, I would not rely on rogain alone.

Nizoral (you can get the 1% in any drugstore) is a shampoo with antiandrogenetic proporties. You can think of it as helping to "wash" the androgens off your scalp. Again, I sure as hell wouldn't rely on nizoral alone.

Spironolactone is an actual androgen blocker. It blocks DHT from binding to the scalp and doing damage in the first place. Several good bros on this site have used it with success, and I'm giving it a go on my next cycle.

Something else to look into is Xandrox. Its a mix oe minoxidil (rogaine) and azelaic acid. The azelaic acid stops the conversion of androgens to DHT in the scalp.

Check this sit out for some of these products. (Yes spiro is prescription) http://www.minoxidil.com

Yeah I do mean Rogaine (here its sold as Regaine)
Is it worth using this stuff to reduce male pattern baldness (non- steroid induced)?
Its just so expensive!
How long till it starts to work?

I've used spironolactone, xandrox, rogaine 5%, and Nizoral. You have to use rogaine the rest of your life(or until they find an alternative) and either xandrox or spiro at least while on cycle.

What you mean it stops working when you stop taking it?
Screw that then!

Yes, all the hair that was regrown using the product will fall out within 6 months or so if you stop using it.
But remember that minoxidil (Rogaine) is also found in Xandrox solution, so you can effectively switch the two.

Costco sells a four month supply of 5% minoxidil (4X60ml) for $20. Thats $5/month. I buy minoxidil tabs in TJ for around $25, crush them and add to the bottles to make a roughly 10% solution.
