Refrigerating Growth before mixing

Ok I know you have to keep growth cold after it is mixed but a buddy of mine who is pretty knowledgeable said that it needs to be kept cold even when it is powder form or it loses a lot of its strength. I had never heard that but I went to the manufacturers websites and they to say to keep it below 47 deg before it is mixed. Anyone else ever heard of this?

Yes it's best to keep it in the fridge mixed or not. It will shorten the shelf life considerably if it's not put in the fridge.

room temp befor mixed was fine for me after mixed in fridge however i ran through a kit every 20 days so every one is different but i guess it cant hurt to keep cold before hand

I think its best kept cold too but some of the USA name brands say you can stored unmixed
at room temp for extended periods of time. This gets real critical after mixing.

I am just wondering if I am wasting my $$ buying kits that I do not know how they are stored. GH kits are expensive especially if they are bunk
