how bad is it, in moderation, with my nightly meals?

(usually 2 glasses a night, along with my pound of meat and salad)

Are you bulking or cutting?? Is that the only alcohol you ever drink?? Does it fit into your calorie tally per day??

I've seen the studies saying 1-2 drinks per day is ok - just keep in mind that alcohol is empty calories....

yeas maam i am bulking, and it IS my only alcohol. and it does indeed fit into my calorie tally.

btw, 5oz of merlot is only 110-150 calories, with zero sugar.

my only concern is if it is retarding protien synthesis. i ALWAYS have a PWO immediately when i get home from the gym, then wait an hour and have my big meal with wine.

Well I've read also that with alcohol in the system, the body cannot efficiently burn off foods consumed at it will burn off all the alcohol first...thus the food probably will get stored as fat.....However - don't know if that's with X amount of alchohol - little or a lot...

If you're making gains & your health is good - then it's prolly not hurting you....
