Red head discrimination why do people still do it?

I am a redhead .The hair freckles and the whole works.

Over the years I have been a victim of discrimination.

Applied for a job and did not get hired. Later to find out through a friend the guy highering called me a " damn ginger "behind my back and claimed he would never hire a ginger.

I meet a girl as a teenager and we started talking , things were great.
I went to see her the next day with out my ball cap on and wearning a short sleeved shirt
She told me she did not like redhair and that ended that really quick.

I was in church ,the preacher was preaching started reading out loud that . Judas had bright red hair and that judas was filled with satan's evil.
Then the preacher looked right at me and others turned and just stared at me for a few seconds.Then they all looked away.

I I rember getting a nasty email from someone telling me " you are a freak redhair is a mutated protien gene it is a flaw " Someone I had never meet but saw my pic online.

I Log on to elite a few weeks ago to see a thread about " ugly people shop at natural health food shops " then the poster says later in the thread " they all were ugly and had redish orange hair"

I was wondering when will this hate stop, will it ever stop? Will people be able to see past color?

I do know how it feels to be discriminated for looking different.It really sucks.
To everyone else that has been discriminated due to enthnic looks I feel your pain.

Fortunately now as an adult my hair's reddish brown instead of that fucking hideous Irn Bru colour it was as a kid.

Wait till your son gets older and starts school and starts dating. Kids and girls will notice he is different then see it as a chance to poke fun... wait and see.

As we get older it is not that big of a deal prob by the age of 20 . But it is still lingering in our heads that people think all redheads are ugly like when 75th posted in his natural foods thread that everyone was ugly and they all had redish orange hair..

i dont think so. my son is not the type to be bullied. he's just fearless. right now he's in 4th grade and his haircolor has never ever been an issue so far. maybe when he gets older. we'll see but i doubt it.

But the thread is more about OTHER PEOPLE NON RED HEADS that discriminate agianst red heads. Such calling us freaks, fire crotch not hiring us for jobs and people that create threads " the store was filled with ugly people redheads and orange haired people."

The question why do they do it? Why do the say these things?
Even 8-20 mentioned that redhead girls = trouble ?

As far as a little girl not preferring red hair, that happens to all of us. Some people like blondes, some like brunettes, some redheads. You can't win them all.

(this is why people of mixed racial descent or in areas where there has historically been a lot of racial crossover are usually more attractive - take central europe for example)

my excellent interesting story centred around the idea that red hair is STRONGLY recessive and therefore indicated that it was more than likely that many other recessive genes likely coded for other sexually appealing attributes concurrently
