Recovery Drink...and Work-time Snacks

I have been using Twin Labs Ultra Fuel for a recovery drink (100 carbs and 400 cals w/ 16 oz of water) I LOVE the taste and I can really tell a difference when drinking it! Since they are pulling this product from the shelf (and possibly others) What do you suggest I use to replace this drink? I feel that a HIGH carb drink works well for me...or am I just wrong about this combo? Please help...

My wife has little time to eat inbetween meals during her work day, sometimes she misses lunch altogether! What is a good snack that I can make for her that is high in protein and low in carbs that tastes good? She has tried bars and such but none taste good to her! What do I do? :(

how much sugar is in this "recovery drink"? I know ABB carbo force is like 110 grams carbs, like 30 from sugars...440 cals.

Sugars...

I looked at the label and cannot find sugars...How much of a difference does that make?

PS

Thank you for answering my post...it sometimes seems that I NEVER get anyone to reply:(

ABB Carbo Force is probably your best bet. I know that Ultra Fuel is mostly maltodextrin and fructose, so any drink with a combination of those would work. I'm not sure how many of off-the-shelf drinks like Ultra Fuel exist, but you could always fill a shaker with maltodextrin and maybe some protein powder and mix it when you need it.

snacks at work

Here's what I have at work when I need a snack:

can of tuna (the 3oz pop top kind)

or

Slice of whole wheat bread with 2 tbsp peanut butter

or

2 Tbsp Almonds
