Everyone knew the market would suffer a pullback once it finished its 10K rally. What are you holding?
I am just holding a tissue now.
I know, I took some money off the table waiting for a correction and just when I decided I was too early and started re-deploying, I started getting clubbed.
If you're really bullish, maybe look at this as an opportunity to buy a few options contracts for your lower-volativity positions.

i was mostly buying jkd and ivv. . .i stopped buying a few weeks ago. . .went up waaaaaayyyy to fast for my taste. . .i'm still sitting on double digit gains. . .

I lost near $20k during the financial meltdown a year ago. This was within 2-3weeks. Total loss was much higher.

I invest a lot in S&P 500 mutual funds. If the S&P 500 goes down then it's likely that there aren't many stocks going up.
It all depends on the risk/reward ratio and ROI you're looking for.
The market doesn't need to go up in order for one to make money.

You are assuming a perfectly neutral emotional state, but the world doesn't work like that for most average joe investors who are betting with their own money.
