Bought UHT @ 30


Basically I was looking for a higher return than my savings account.

Nothing specifically. Purely trying to diversify a bit with those two picks. They've done well since I bought, but this is more of a long haul investment....prolly will get into both for more in the future....

I owned a smaller version of a Kinder Morgan pipeline based in Canada. It paid 8% and amazingly it also appreciated by about 50% over a few years. I think the pipelines have a lot more stable income stream than the companies that are beholden to the actual price of oil.

I was up about 20% for KMP at one point last week.

I think I'll keep these investments going, reinvesting the dividends probably for a good 10-20 years. See what happens
