OK guys listen to this shit.

I went to my neighbor's house yesterday, and I opened up his cupboard to get a glass to put some water in. I noticed this puddle of fluid on the bottom shelf, and noticed it was leaking from the top of the cupboard. Mind you the cupboard comes out from the wall above a counter, and there's a space abover the cupboard to put things on top of. So I told my friend to come here and look at this. He's like "Oh, i know what it is, one of my soda cans busted.." He has star wars soda cans sitting atop the cupboard. So I'm like ok, I'll reach up and see which one busted and take it down.

Well, turns out none of the cans were busted. So he gets this puzzled look on his face, and gets a chair to stand on to go look and see what is going on on top of the cupboard. He then tells me in this excited voice to go up and look. OK, so I go up and look, and there's a small puddle of this fluid on the side of the top of the cupboard closest to me. The soda cans are on the opposite side of the cupboard. Apparently the top of the cupboard is the origin of the fluid, but...What is causing it?

There's no trail leading from any of the soda cans. It's just right there, and dripping down. there's also nothing at all dripping from the ceiling. So he wipes it up, and I smell it, and it does kind of smell like soda to me. It's also browninsh in color, like cola. OK so whatever, he wipes it all up, and we go back to sit down. Bout half hour later, I go to put my glass back in the kitchen, and for the hell of it, I open up the cupboard..And the shit is back again. I told him and he starts flipping out, and I went back up to look on top of the cupboard, and the puddle was back again.

Once again, there's no soda can leaking, no trail leading from any of the soda cans or anything. I don't even know if it is soda. It smells a little like it, but..I don't know. Also smells like a bunch of other stuff too. Also, what i found weird is that theres a piece of wood lining the ends and sides of the top of the cupboard that is about half an inch high. Well, the shit also got on top of that somehow, meaning something had to have spilled for it to get on top of something elevated right? Yet there isn't a soda can within a foot of the puddle, which is the only thing containing liquid on top of the cupboard. So needless to say we sat there with goosebumps for the remainder of the evening and just let the shit sit there. I'm going to check on it tonight.

It's an alien lifeform, and it's already too late. You must kill yourself quickly, you're not the real Burning_Inside!!!!!!!!!!! (But, then again, you already know this.... but if so, why are you posting this to tip us all off? It must be some kind of trick)

Water has all kinds of paths.... Does the cupbard sit next to a wall, I would bet that there is some form of slow leak and the coloration is rust or something like that.

The thing to do is to wipe the place dry and watch it for about two minutes and you should be able to find a trail..

your friend is fuckin with yah man, but i dont doubt that shit, who found it first? you or him, and how did you discover it was it leaking into the inside? weird man, i would tear the house down, and then rebuild it LOL

Hmmm well it has to be coming from inside the wood then.

Ok well, his little brother found out what it was..It turns out it WAS one of the soda cans, i guess by the time the next day rolled around, it leaked a lot, and he picked up one of the cans and it was only half way full, so I guess that was a no brainer..

He showed me the can, it was amazing, this fucking hole was seriously invisible to the naked eye, and microspoic to say the least. The only way to even know where it was, was to move the sode int he can around till you could hear the fizzle of air. I then left it in position, and saw this small dribble of cola come out of what looked to me to be right through the damn can. It was cool. Microspoic invisible hole.

However, this still doesn't explain why there was no trail leading to and from the cans and the puddle, and why when i picked them up in the first place, I never saw any fluid dripping from any of them. that's still the part that bugs me.
