Ready to do first cycle - Please critique

OK here's the basic info:

I've been reading the EF and AF boards for over a year now. I wanted to make sure I had a clue before starting any cycle.
I'm 34 years old, 5'7" tall, weigh 192lbs, have about 20% BF (spent the last 7 months recovering from injury) and want to gain strengh for playing hockey. I have no desire to get any heavier, just want to get stronger, change my body composition, and take advantage of faster recovery times as I work out like crazy for next season. My ideal playing weight has always been around 170-175 lbs, but at that weight every time I get hit I get ragdolled. I played at 190 for the first half of last season and was slower, but played a more physical game. I wouldn't complain about a better physique, but am mostly concerned about re-building a solid foundation at my current weight.

I'm planning on a cycle of 8 weeks of test injections at 500mg per week (either enanthate or sust) and D-Bol at 25mg per day for the first 6 weeks. I will include L-Dex, ALA, Milk Thistle and post-cycle Clomid regime.

Any comments appreciated. I will be glad to share any results if anyone's interested.....
 
Sounds like a good basic beginner's cycle. I would take the test down to 400mg and start the dbol at 15mg and bump it up to 25mg at week 3. If you weren't planning an gaining weight your going to be in for a big surprise especially if this is your first cycle!
You might end up with lower back pain also for a couple of weeks from holding water, It might not be so good for your game.
 
Sounds good but i would add either deca or eq at 400 mg a week to help retain gains. I think in your case 50mg of test prop would be better than eth or sust since you aren't trying to bulk up.
