I dont agree. If you look at pretty much any medical book that teaches proper gluteal injection the area shown isnt one of them. I think its because in the lateral hip/gluteal area, muscle is more superficial then in the areas highlighted on that picture, and mucsle is where you want the substance to absorb

I like the part where they say there is no need to aspirate. Sure, you can get away with it most of the time, but why risk it when it only takes a second or two?
