reactions to your diet?

my mom's a nurse, so i've been calling and talking to her about my new diet - 3300 cals, 300g protein, 300g carbs, 70g EFAs, totally clean - and she seems to think that's a bit too much protein. not sure where she picked up this info, but while bulking? too much? needless to say, I had to disagree.

furthermore, despite the endless list of POSITIVES of my diet, she wants to nitpick that i don't get enough POTASSIUM. potassium, folks. so now i toss a banana into my shakes.

so how do your relatives/co-workers/friends react to your diets?

I get the typical "you're so thin, why are you dieting/working out so much?" a lot.

The bottom line is that most people, many medical professionals included, are misinformed when it comes to performance nutrition. It's not really their fault, but it certainly is annoying.

here, here. I'd take the word of this board over that of the average trainer/nutritionist. like you said, in a lot of cases their knowledge is suited towards beginners or those who exercise/diet moderately. to put it simply, this places brings the results i'm looking for, with a dedication to personal excellence much higher than the average man. can't ignore that.
